If you are wondering which dinner sunset cruise to take in Cabo, this is the one! You may see a dinner cruise advertised with a three course meal (Premier) or one with a fajita buffet. This occurs on the same ship, but the experience will be different. I recommend choosing the three course meal (while more expensive, it is worth it). As you board the cruise ship, a souvenir photo is taken, you do not need to buy it, but we chose to buy ours. Once on board we were very catered to - we were personally shown our dining area on the first floor, and given a choice of our seating. We were lucky in that we chose a table near the dance floor where the show would take place later, but it also had a wonderful view of the ocean and surroundings through the tall windows. We were given the option to discuss our meal preferences and were provided an explanation of how the evening and dinner would go. Then we were guided to the third floor/top deck, where the open bar and live music were happening. Many people were inclined to find seating, but we stood at what we thought was the back of the ship (behind the bar). It turns out it was the front! The ship will turn in the Marina before heading out to sea and this is the place you want to be! We enjoyed the music and drinks and sightseeing. It was actually magnificent! About an hour into the cruise we made our way down to our dinner. Our first course was a beautifully plated salad, I chose the steak as my second course, and our third course was a variety of little desserts. The first floor is better appointed and is table service. The second floor is buffet style, less “fancy”, and does not have the show. And the SHOW competes with the breathtaking views as the best part! It was the pinnacle of the evening with traditional song and dance. The singer and dancers were unparalleled. We chose this cruise on our last evening in Cabo and I’m SO glad we did. It was the perfect ending to a...
Read moreWe really enjoyed this dinner cruise. It is what we were looking for when we arrived and didn’t unfortunately find until our last night.
We started out getting to choose our seats for the dinner and show. Then we headed up to the top deck to enjoy a mixture of live music and recorded as we got underway and cruised out into the bay. Lots of people enjoying the ride and view. The wait staff were prompt in getting refills and no up charge pressures.
Then as sunset approached we were invited to return to the first deck for dinner and the floor show of singing and dancing. Since we were just one couple we shared a table with a couple that we didn’t know, but had pleasant conversation over dinner and between routines. The steak, fish, and shrimp were all very nice.
Dinner and the show were so good that I lost track of time and realized as the show completed that it was fully dark and we were almost back to the pier. We went back to the top deck to enjoy a little more music and the experience of returning to the pier.
It did seem like there were three different overlapping cruises going on. We were experiencing the sit down dinner cruise, there seemed to be a buffet dinner on the second deck that we didn’t experience and then it seemed that some people were just enjoying the cruise and drinks on the top deck. Not sure how you book the other options, but I think it would be worth experiencing.
One thing I do wish had been clearer. We arrived the hour early that is recommended, however nothing says Caborey at the gates that keep you off the pier. I wasn’t certain that we were in the right place, but joined a line of people waiting to go in and hoped. As the cruise time approached, I started seeing crew in Caborey shirts entering the pier area and I...
Read moreI decided to take this cruise last minute on my first day in Cabo. I was staying on the Marina, had been traveling all day and was hungry so all you can eat sold me. I'm not a big drinker, so that wasnt a deciding factor at all for me. I boarded the ship and went straight to the dining room. The tables were spaced out and the room had plenty of seats for all who where there at the time. I ordered a Pina Colada. It was a poor quality drink, I have to say. It wasn't good and I could taste whatever cleaner they used for the glass in the drink. It wouldnt have been good even without the cleaner taste. The food was just ok. The chips and salsa where good. I had beef tacos that were pretty decent, but nothing to write home about. They had some little desserts too that were ok. Nothing I had really stood out and the meal was just mediocre. I finished around the time that we first got to the arch and I went to the back of the boat for viewing and picture taking. It was all very beautiful and there were some sea lions playing in the water. We then headed on behind the arch to look at a remote beach, there were some whales spouting nearby and the sunset was beautiful. I went up to the roof where they had a live band (who was fantastic) and a waitress serving drinks from a rooftop bar. Some couples danced to the music and we viewed the arch again while slowly returning to the Marina after night had fallen and the beautiful lights of Cabo could be seen from the boat. All in all the quality of the food on the boat was not great, but the views paired with the music was beautiful and I'm...
