Where to start. Took my 3 kids to eat some seafood and boy were we disappointed. The servers were great, the music was loud, it was do dark that you couldn't see what you were served. I got the "special" which was a New York Strip and some shrimp, my kids ages 18, 16 and 10 got the shrimp by the kilo. Each of them ordered a Kilo to be clear. The menu is written for US dollars so that was nice. You expected a 20 dollar and 5 dollar drink to be somewhat satisfying, we were completely wrong. My New York Strip was from Jersey! It was tough, dry, and came from the carcass of probably a young steer. my 3 three medium shrimp looked like they were pummeled and had zero taste. Like ZERO. Gulp a mouth full of air, yeah that's how they tasted. My kids ate their "kilo" of shrimp all 5 of them on a plate of with literally a table spoon of rice spread across the plate and a mushy squash and carrot for the garnish. So all in, $125 for dinner for 4, we left hungry and ended up getting another dinner. My oldest made a sage observation. "Dad, it looks like the best way to enjoy that sad excuse of a dinner is to be so drunk you forget what it was you ordered and how much you paid for it" It gets 2 stars 1 star because the staff were fast to get us in and the other was for the tip playing...

SOLID simple fresh shrimp and fish with a butter bath, it doesn’t get yummier than that. Atmosphere is a bit raunchy but funny with older guys giving customers lap dances. Decor is understandable, very tribal and based on universities and pro teams. Graffiti is a nice way to leave a mark as a customer except for the fact that some feel compelled to write the n-word (hard “er”) prominently in the bathrooms. I didn’t feel comfortable enough to ask for a resolution in person, but if the owners could assure me that this is being addressed I’d be happy to bump their score up.

UPDATE: The graffiti I’m im referring to was in the hand wash area next to a mirror. The owners contacted me right away and said they would remove it. I appreciate the...

I love the atmosphere of this place, and all the college flags. I let my daughter get up and sign her flag kind of a fun experience, the bulldog drink, and the experience with that is not to be missed!!! The shrimp are huge and super tasty no matter if grilled or fried. Lastly, the staff is so welcoming. I left my credit card there called the next day and they had it, I was very impressed that they asked for my tea before giving it back to you feel like you are part of the family!!! The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 ⭐️ is I wish the lighting was just a little bit better (I’m old or at least my eyes are) and it’s hard to...

This place used to rock! Gave a 5 star on Trip-advisor 12 years ago. Been here every year for past 12 years and love Maro. Lobster, shrimp, and Bulldogs used to be great, and it HAD a nice, fun, festive vibe. Unfortunately, it is now a shadow of its former self. Staff is now resorting to explicit 'chair dances' with patrons for their celebrations... (not the playful, pg-13, Bulldog dance Ignacio used to do) Don't bring the kids. Lobster is still good, but way more expensive now (but what isn't), and it's hard to eat with the 'grind-show-with-grandma' going on. Shrimps are half the size they used to be... makes me so sad. *sigh* 😣

Wow. 10 stars and above. This place we stumbled across while walking away from The Marina. I had such a memorable delicious meal here. The food was amazing and prices were cheaper than our resort and 10x tastier. This place has been here since 1998! That should mean something. And the owner is present and part of his crew. We recommend taking a walk off from yhe Marina. We got the Molcajete bowl and husband got the Lobster and breaded shrimp. All worth every bite! Great service and fun ambiance.

Visited 05/15/24 Read reviews before we went to know what to expect. Place is it's own vibe. Service was welcoming. Great value for lobster and shrimp. We had 2 lobster and shrimp combos which were ~$25USD each. Hubby had the bulldog and we passed on the lap dance as our 13yro daughter was with us. The place is very "hole in the wall" but we enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service. If you aren't into potential "raunchy" behavior then don't come. If you are open to whatever, then visit!
