A FOODIEâS FIND OF SUSHI/SASHIMI in Cabo. Itâs as close to the finesse of Japanese raw fish preparation as it may getđđđ.
It adheres to the simple clean fresh preparations of sushi/sashimi. NONE OF THOSE CHEESE-CONTAINING VERSIONS, which are the worst corruptions of a great culinary art.
there are still a few rolls with exposed fish and not wrapped in nori, but it looks the chefs do not drown them in sauces đđđ
the sushi rice is Japonica as it should beđđđ
Sushi/sashimi are served either a la carte OR as chef selection platters.đđđ
The piÚce de la résistance is the Omakase, which surprisingly includes a tasting of Wagyu cleverly disguised as sushi.
The menu includes a short list of noodles (ramen, udon), and a handful of cooked dishes.
Service is excellent.
The restaurant doesnât have a sign in front, but the address is correct on a corner of crossing streets. Itâs a short 5-7 min walk from Cabo marina.
Itâs larger than could be visualized from the outside. Itâs got great ambiance, simple decor highlighting wood panels/beams. There are 2 serving rooms.
Highly...
Read moreThe food was delicious, the only thing with the one, weren't very pleased was that nobody told us about the coast of the OMAKASE, which is something you really don expect when the bill comes. Nobody explains you the coast, or the way they will charge you, and for us that had been in other restaurants with experience menu, this was too much... Few days before we were at the Farallon for a dinner, and we had Champagne and a bottle of wine with our dinner, and this one at the Fish was more expensive!!! There is no way you can figure out how much is gonna be the bill, and for me it was like I was mugged... Honestly, they should tell the costumers, how are they gonna make your bill, because... Its kind of surprising. The place atmosphere really doesnt worth the bill, and there is no way to expect that if you dont know... Because even the service is good, there is nothing...
Read moreTo me, the most important thing about sushi is their sushi rice. And although I wasnât expecting the best sushi ever, I can say the fish sushi bar knocked it out of the park for me! Sushi rice, freshness in quality was amazing!!! I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered. Iâm not sure if the business is doing a hole in the wall feel, but it was confusing upon entry since I couldnât find the business name/sign at the front or near the door.
Miso soup is better than most in the Bay Area. I ordered a salmon and avocado roll, toro nigiri, and uni nigiri. Everything was spectacular!! My fiancĂ© had a chicken teriyaki lunch bento box since he doesnât really care for raw stuff, that was really good too!...
