Mere 10 min walk from the Marina & next to many great restaurants, it was half the price of our next resort & had a good view.||We picked the upper most suite (5A) and didnt not mind the 237 steps of stairs. An employee helped us carry the dunnage . The decor was very 80’s but adequate. The private balcony was huge & almost spanned the length of the unit. From there we had a commanding view of downtown Cabo & a partial glimpse of the marina & the sea. ||On site amenities included communal patios on lower terraces & a beautifully kept swimming pool (unheated) thats lengthy enough to swim mini laps. The hot tub water was only warm. They provide beach going stuff at the office. Our suite was spacious with ridiculous amount of closet & storage space & a safe. Complimentary water was dispensed from the 5 gallon jug & the kitchen was fully equipped. ||Walk in shower was spacious, control of water temp were in the form of 2 separate knobs, 1 hot & 1 cold. Achieving the optimal temp can be challenging & will require feathering of the controls. The basin area was tight. There were no USP ports in the room so bring your adaptor.||We felt safe walking around the area even late at night. The security gentleman (Val?) at the entrance even gave us a flashlight upon request. Cabo Coffee company is right next door, another 200 feet & you will find Mama’s Royal Cafe, Crazy Lobsters & Kauil (sister restaurant of El Peregrino) on Calle Miguel. Taco Guss & Giggling Marlin on blvd Lazaro are 5...
Read moreVery pleased with these accommodations. We checked in around 3p on Saturday, greeted happily by staff. They carried our luggage up to our rooms. It was a group of us in two seperate villas. We were in 1B which had 1 bed and bathroom, kitchen, living room, AC unit and private balcony. The sunset/rise on the balcony was so beautiful & where I would unwind each night.
My favorite place was the hottub/pool plus view. Hours are 9 to 8p.
We are right downtown where we walked to get our coffee at Vanilla Cafe, lunch at Monkey Cave's Bar, and dinner at Bajo La Luna. Also a 10 minute walk from a walk up rapid COVID test which is the service we used to get back in the country. About a 20 walk the other way is the main road/tourist sites/souvenirs/night life.
For awareness, the hill is steep once you get through the gate, then you have flights of stairs to go up. Not ideal for handicap or others that have issue with stairs.
Overall, we felt secure at all times, relaxation within reach & entertainment or food...
Read moreGood service. Housekeeper’s we’re excellent. Front desk was very helpful and owners are friendly. It’s a lot of steps however if your fit it’s no problem really. If your old well you might have issues with higher suites. Pool wasn’t heated but was refreshing in the heat which was fine. Hot tub was only heated intermittently and used it once but it wasn’t the greatest. Views were incredible and suite was well appointed and everything worked. The only real problem was the noise, if you’re not familiar with the area it’s traffic central and the noise bounces off the hillside it’s perched on and it’s loud at all hours(bars are open until 5 AM now. You also have some barking dogs in a house close by that is a problem. The location for shopping, beach and restaurants is perfect. Cabo is just getting louder and busier so wouldn’t be back for a long time but hey...
