Visited in August 2024. Perú. Cusco.

Organika Restaurant, nestled in the heart of the city, is a cozy establishment with a small interior and a charming terrace. A massive wood-fired oven takes centre stage, adding a rustic charm to the ambiance.

Food: This restaurant prides itself on its commitment to using organic produce and natural ingredients. They even make their own pasta and bake pizzas in their wood-fired oven. The result is a delightful fusion of Italian and Peruvian cuisine.

We started with a shrimp salad that was absolutely perfect – fresh vegetables, creamy avocado, and perfectly grilled shrimp. We then sampled a few main courses, including the fettuccine pesto with chicken. The pasta was cooked al dente, the pesto sauce was smooth and well-balanced, and the chicken breast was grilled to a crispy perfection. Another standout dish was the grilled trout cooked in the wood-fired oven until crispy, served with a pumpkin purée. The combination was phenomenal. The only dish that didn't quite impress was the vegetarian option, a chickpea and quinoa curry, but we had ordered it by mistake. We also sampled the pizza, which was delicious, and our favorite topping was the Gorgonzola cheese.

Service: The service was excellent. Our waiter spoke English, had a good knowledge of the menu, and was able to help us choose dishes. Everyone was friendly, and we were very satisfied.

Conclusion: With the vast number of restaurants in Cusco, only a select few offer the quality to enjoy a delicious meal, fantastic service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Organika is one such gem. Everything we tried was delicious, and I highly recommend this restaurant. You are guaranteed an unforgettable...

We were three people and able to find a table without a reservation. The appetizers were great, both the organika salad and the trout. The trout in particular was the highlight of the menu for me with the perfect tanginess and rich flavors. The copoazu juice is and interesting try, the tropical mix is way too acidic and sweet, not good.

The main courses were ok. I ordered and alpaca grill. Although it was cooked perfectly, the meat itself is too lean and dry. The accompanying gnocchi was overcooked and floury, instead of the good gummy gnocchi texture. My goal was to try alpaca meat, and I'd still suggest you take it if you want to try. If you want something tasty try something else. The quinoa and the veg lasagna of my friends were also OK but nothing outstanding.

The desserts were also fine. The chocolate mousse is too dry and not creamy enough so skip on that. I was expecting the Rucola Tiramisu to be flavorful but it's just like a cheesecake with green color, so nothing special. The ice cream with the chocolate tart, however, was awesome. It's a Peruvian mint ice cream and the flavors are intense.

The service was amazing. The waiters are really kind and attentive so definitely leave good tips. Still, a 4 star ad not 5 for average main courses and desserts, plus the relatively higher price tag.

Also, the chairs are too low and uncomfortable compared to the heights...

From the moment I stepped into Organika Restaurant, I knew I was in for something special — but what truly made the evening unforgettable was the incredible service from our waitress, Lis.

Liz greeted us with a genuine smile that immediately set the tone for the night. She struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our meal, always seeming to appear at just the right moment. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive — she described each dish with such enthusiasm that we couldn’t help but try her recommendations. And she was absolutely spot-on!

The food itself was a perfect reflection of Organika’s name — fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. From the first appetizer to the last bite of dessert, everything tasted as though it had been made with care and creativity.

What stood out most, though, was Lis’s warmth and professionalism. She made us feel genuinely welcome, remembered small details about our preferences, and created an experience that felt personal and memorable. It’s rare to find someone who turns a great meal into an exceptional one, but Lis did exactly that.

I left Organika feeling not just satisfied, but truly happy — the kind of feeling that comes from being cared for and enjoying something special. I can’t wait to come back, and I’ll definitely be asking...
