Very unspecial. The absolute worst food I have had in 5 weeks in Peru.
We ordered ceviche and cuy. The ceviche was missing leche de Tigre! There was no acid at all. Just chunks of raw trout and some onions and choclo. I could barely eat it (and normally I eat everything).
The cuy was two small little pieces that had been burnt to a crisp. The skin was burnt so bad you could barely get your teeth through it. And there was such a small amount of meat salvageable. I maybe had 4 bites total. They smothered it in a sauce to try to hide how horribly it was cooked.
I almost never complain to the waitress but I complained when I went to pay. I asked to remove the ceviche from the bill because I didn’t eat it. And the waitress (maybe owner) immediately said “if you didn’t like the food don’t pay me anything”. Which was good service I suppose. But they way she said it indicated to me that she was aware at the horrible quality of the food and ashamed at being called out for it.
Anyways, it’s a shame that either Google deletes bad reviews at every restaurant in Cusco, or that all the tourists who come here have such poor taste that they rate everything so highly. It’s impossible to figure out which restaurants are actually good in this town based on...

For food, we tried Cuy (guinea pig) for the first time and it was delicious. The sauce had a tangy, bbq-like flavor that complemented the crispy skin perfectly and gave the dish a familiar yet distinctly Peruvian twist. Another standout dish was the alpaca tacos, which were tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, paired with fresh avocado and a hint of sweetness from the caramelized onions that tied it all together.
You can really tell how much passion and care goes into each dish. Compliments to the chef for not only the incredible flavors, but also the beautiful presentation - from the edible flowers to the artistic plating, everything felt special. Truly the most memorable meal we...
Read moreYesterday we stumbled on this place and were very satisfied with our dinner: the atmosphere is lovely, not to busy, perfect for a good talk with your loved one with view on the street. The owner/chef of the restaurant is very kind and does everything to be sure you have a pleasant experienced. I ordered the guineapig wich was served in a non-traditional way but was way more delicious: the skin of the guineapig gets baked/fried so it gets crunchy and is much more pleasant to eat. Also the marinade is just too good! My wife had a vegetarian option, wich was also very tasty. We would highly recommend this place and we will surely revisit the next time...
