A lovely, tranquil and quiet place. Great for relaxing. I often spend my lunches here on the workshift. At the one end, you have a huge fountain surrounded by short stone walls containing an area of grass to sit on and flower arrangements / flowerbeds. The fountain doesn't spray and in the sun, it's lovely and peaceful to sit here. Surrounding this, a stone walkway and some more wooden benches in a circular arrangement.

For a quieter experience if you wonder down away from the fountain towards the statue the park is much more peaceful and you get a lovely view of the top of the city Hall. I visited on a very sunny day as my garden doesn't get any sun and I had a lovely few hours sunbathing and reading my book in a peaceful environment and then wondered 200 yrs or so into the city....
