Abs shocking ! Arrived sat for the afternoon show last sat got there 3 mins late as theatre not sign posted properly and very difficult to find also I had hip replacement few weeks ago so had to walk slowly with a stick walked a long way to get there ! Walked past the Arches twice as no clear sign posting ?!! We were refused entry after paying £130 for 2 tickets for a bday present ! And travelling 3 hours to get there !! Another lady also on a disability scooter who had travelled 7 hours to get there ! Couldn’t find any disabled parking locally and found it difficult to find the theatre too ( an A board was outside the theatre door - not by the entrance to the Arches ! ) She travelled across London to get there on her disability scooter arrived at the same time as us and was also refused entry she was in tears ! Disgusting !! I have complained and told they can do nothing - no refund of tickets wouldn’t even offer us seats for another date ! Allegiance - George Takei - I wonder what he would have to say about all of this if he knew ??? Such a bad bad call !!! And also discriminating against disabled peeps !! Shocked and appalled !!! I will never book to go here again !!! Don’t waste your money ! At Charing Cross Theatre!! They treat their customers so badly !!!...

Love this small theatre in central London. Excellent views from most of the seats I think and certainly from row K. You can really see the expressions on the actors' faces, which is not always the case when you're in the larger theaters. I was fortunate enough to catch a fantastic performance of Bronco Billy on 21st March. It was great fun with terrific actors and a wonderful atmosphere. It's only on until 7th April which is such a shame because it is a wonderful production. Victoria Hamilton Barritt was amazing as the evil stepmother and a complete hoot for every second she was on stage. Emily, Benjamin was terrific as Antoinette Lily - what a voice and what a personality! And Gemma Atkins voice was beautiful. The whole cast was amazing though and apologies for not mentioning each by name. They really looked like they were enjoying themselves on stage, and they created a wonderful atmosphere in the theatre. The audience gave them a standing ovation. If you have an opportunity to see bronco Billy in the next 10 days, I really would make the effort to see it. It's not high theater but that's not what you always want. Bronco Billy is a really feel good musical production which is well worth...

🎭✨ Charing Cross Theatre & “Get Down Tonight” — A Disco Dream in an Intimate Setting ✨🎭

Well, wow wow wow — what a revelation this little gem of a theatre is! My first visit to the Charing Cross Theatre, tucked beneath the arches near Embankment, and it completely stole the show before the show even began. Cosy, atmospheric, and with that rare feeling of being part of the performance rather than just watching it. Every seat feels close, every note hits you right in the rhythm bone. 🪩

And what a performance — “Get Down Tonight – The KC & The Sunshine Band Musical” absolutely shines in this setting. Hit after hit rolled out like a disco dream — Boogie Shoes, That’s the Way (I Like It), Keep It Comin’ Love — all threaded through the KC story. The all-English cast channelled pure 1970s Miami heat, sounding every bit the real deal.

The sound, lights, and staging worked perfectly with the theatre’s intimacy — it’s like being in the front row of Studio 54, only better air-conditioning and fewer hangovers.

What a way to spend a Wednesday afternoon: a matinee full of funk, sparkle, and soul in one of London’s most characterful little venues. 💃🎶 #CharingCrossTheatre #GetDownTonight #DiscoMagic...

I have visited the Charing Cross Theatre twice now for “Allegiance”, a musical based off of legendary actor George Takei’s childhood experience interned as a Japanese-American during World War II. The venue, though one of the smallest theatres I have visited, is very good. The seats are comfortable, the aisles wide and easy to move through, and there are no bad views. It should be noted that “Allegiance” has the stage in the middle between two seating areas – personally, I would not worry too much where to sit, as the play is set in such a way as to give attention to both sets. The musical itself is superb. The performances from all the actors were excellent, as was the singing and the music, adding greatly to the largely-untold yet highly relevant and powerful story of war hysteria, racism and ethnocentrism and how it pits innocent people into hellish situations. Despite the dark undertones and setting, the musical is able to lift and inspire us to persevere and put wrongs right.
