Ashland ACE Hardware — Attraction in Ashland

This store was fantastic. I went in needing to change the battery in my car's key fob and having no idea how to even access the battery compartment. The customer service person spent about 20 minutes with me figuring out how to open the battery compartment (it required a special screw driver) and then found the correct battery and replaced it for me. He even let me test it to make sure it worked before paying.

I also needed two other items and received help from two other great employees. I accidentally bought the wrong size of one item and the next day I was able to return it and have help finding the correct size.

I have been to many hardware stores in the past and generally I have had a hard time finding workers willing to give me much effort. This was my first time in this store and I will keep...

They "special ordered" what I consider a large quantity of landscape materials, then delivered to my home in two loads due to the weight. The delivery guy sweat right along with me, getting dirty to unload while actually enjoying the hard work.

They had a competitive price and THEN deducted for a retired military discount.

The delivery was ahead of schedule to support an operational commitment for me as well.

They just could not have done any better in this transaction. I'll be back (almost daily). We are minutes from the "orange" big box hardware store, but they are a distant second choice as I choose to shop locally.

Ashland's Ace hardware has just about everything you need. Just about. I would definitely come here first before making the trek down to the Home Depot in Phoenix. They have saved me an hour drive a couple of times (roundtrip). If you're looking for lumber, the selection is not great here. But all plumbing, electrical, harware, gardening tools, and miscellaneous supplies are readily available. The staff is friendly and helpful but a little hard to get on the phone. Sometimes it's best to go down in person and ask if they have what you're looking for. You may be on hold a while if you try and call while...
