BUYER BEWARE! I bought what was supposed to be a "Lab Diamond 1 CTW Cross Pendant mounted in 14k & a 14K necklace" Their description claimed it was of high grade. They claimed the weight was 3.42 grams and stamped accordingly. What I got was a .77 CTW Moissanite cross pendant and a sterling silver necklace. stamp on mounting did not match what they stated, and the total weight was 3.17 grams. TOTAL SCAM. High buyer's premium of 28% and high shipping costs. All in, I spent about $722.00 for an item worth about $150.00. I emailed them about it. They did offer to refund the bid amount, but I was going to eat the shipping, and they would only refund a partial buyer's premium. That would mean they would make over $100 free and clear and probably would have re-auctioned the item to the next victim. I did not send item back because I do not trust them to actually follow through with the refund and I didn't want someone else to be ripped off with this item. If you're going to be so bold as to auction off moissanites for lab diamonds, I am sure not processing a refund wouldn't be beyond your capabilities. Avoid these guys. They may have been very reputable when Dad ran the place but not now. If you get items from them - you had better look at it carefully and have them tested for authenticity. If you get ripped off, you can file complaints with the Georgia Auctioneers Commission. They typically, do not do anything unless they receive tons of complaints. Notice the microscope photo how the stone is cut around the mount? Crazy Bold! Most buyers do not have gem testers, metal testers, proper UV lights, digital microscopes etc. I do. Even then very difficult for these machines to detect Moissanites from diamonds. That is why it makes it a great scam at auctions. If your "Diamonds" look too good and have a rainbow sparkle - You better see the...
Read moreI have seen the show on tv and I like it so I figured while in Atalnta I would stop by. I was there on a Wednesday before a Sunday auction at about 9:15 AM. I was greeted by Cindy who was working at some paperwork for some items that just came in. She took a few minutes and spoke with me and she knew I was from New England because of my accent. She told me she lived there at one time. Any way Delpino was unloading trucks as they came in with more stuff for the auction house. I was amazed at how many different things there were to look at. Now some would say it was messy but remember this is an auction house not a retail store so you have to expect that things might not be perfectly neat. There were some negative comments I read before going there about Paul and his buisness. One must remeber this is a day to day running buisness not a museum or amusment park. These people have lots to do so if they do not give you 100% attention you have to accept that and move on. I was ready to leave when the owner Paul walked in. He talked with his staff and then said hello to me. He too was at work and did not have to take time with me. I was included in a converstaion with Paul and Cindy about a recent trip Paul took. As I went to leave I did ask if I could get a picture of Paul Cindy Delpino and myself, Paul came right over and gathered the other 2 and with a big smile said "Sure". I thanked them all and Paul walked with me to the door as he spoke about his love of the New England Patriots. So when some say that these people were not nice they did not consider that they saw them at their job. Please respect these people as they are not actors but just regular hard working people. Visit Gallery 63 and say hi to the gang pick up a hat or t-shirt while...
Read moreMy wife and i are from canada and while traveling through georgia this summer stopped by to check out gallery 63 in sandy springs near atlanta. We met the whole gang from the tv show. It was close to the end of their work day and were obviously tired but were more than gracious hosts showing us around. We could not resist leaving a bid for an up coming auction and ( WE BOUGHT IT) won the bid that is. Thank you everyone at gallery 63 for your good old southern hospitality. Chris and Lorne...... ps............ Remember people when you are at a place of business that's what it is a place of business, these people have to earn a living and are not a tourist stop were they are expected to entertain you. For all of you who felt slighted at your visit to gallery 63 you were probably acting like a tourist. If so go to the atlanta zoo its not far from the gallery, there you can stand around and look to your hearts content, you will be entertained and have the animals treat you with the respect...
