[ ] When I first moved in(July 2022) our apartment was not move in ready. There were painters and maintenance men there to fix up the place. Very disappointed as we have an entire family waiting with us. [ ] Couldn’t get into mailbox upon move in. Key didn’t work without rigging up the mailbox. [ ] Our faucets were dysfunctional. They would not turn water on or off. This issue was fixed weeks after request. [ ] Over stove and oven did not work adequately. Maintenance diagnosed the oven as faulty and it was never fixed entirely. The apartment manager argued with me over the validity of the stove working. I told her that some parts would get warm but short out. She insinuated that I was providing inaccurate information on the maintenance request because I said it didn’t work. A simple conversation over what was faulty should have been a breeze but the manager was not understanding and very rude. [ ] One of my doors was falling off of all three hinges. [ ] 8/18/2022- Downstairs neighbor continued to bang on the door, yell, and harass my family. We reported this neighbor multiple times but they continued. I assumed nothing critical was done to the neighbor. [ ] 8/15/2022- The entire apartment had no water. We have actually encountered multiple hours during various days of water shut offs. I believe the past water leaks weren’t correctly fixed the first time. [ ] Sept 14, someone parked in my parking spot. Security was called. Nothing was done. This occurred multiple times. If you think this isn’t a big deal, then wait until you get towed for having to park in somebody else’s parking spot. We all pay for our parking spots. [ ] My new job changed my paycheck schedule. It caused me to be a little behind on bills. The office staff aggressively demanded for rent in August 2022 but they never fixed my previous maintenance requests. The office staff was communicating with maintenance staff about my late rent payment situation. One day before they pushed legalities on me, they sent maintenance men to my Apartment to fix all the issues that I had complained about for months. I sent images and maintenance requests. [ ] 8/18/2022- Security hung up on me when reporting the life threatening man that lived below us. [ ] 8/14/2022- The Refrigerator made loud humming noises. When I reported this to the apartment complex, the leasing manager Jennifer argued with me about what I was diagnosing. I worked in maintenance for 5 years and as an engineer for 10 years. I had troubleshooting skills but Jennifer was very argumentative. [ ] 8/13/2022- The man below us proceeded to bang on my door and yell. Threatening us with lies and saying that we were too noisy. When I tried to talk to him to figure out if it was us he was very hostile and wouldn’t listen. [ ] November, we had several A/C and Heating issues. Our apartment was 80+ degrees during very warm days during the winter. We could not get our air to work. In comparison, I could not get our heat to work when it was extremely cold during the winter. These issues started in early November 2022. They weren’t full resolved until December and January. The office stay brought portable conditioning units at one point and that helped for our living room only. [ ] We had a noise complaint filed against us during quiet hours in March 2023. The MAA Buckhead team did not investigate the claim before filing an official notice on our account. After speaking and providing details to Tia, they investigated and concluded that our apartment was falsely accused of the noise complaint. I believed, this was retaliation from the man that stayed below us. We were not even in the state of Georgia during the time that he complained about us. This was clearly retaliation against us filing harassment reports against him.

Read moreThe only thing MAA Buckhead (formally known as Allure at Buckhead Village) has going for them is the location of the complex, nice office staff but they are far from helpful and the maintenance guys are very nice and knowledgeable (minus one experience back in August when they were understaffed.) Since we have moved in 6 months ago we have experienced 3 leaks in our apartment. The first one was the shower leaking which would soak our bathroom floor every time the shower was used. Our carpet in the bedroom even got soaked from the shower leak. They sent someone out to cut out the wall etc. and they left a mess in my linen closet. There was saw dust and what not everywhere. I let that go. There ended up being visible mold growing on the walls in the linen closet due to this. About a week later we experienced a second water issue. It stormed and the rain from the storm flooded into our apartment which soaked our carpet. Maintiance came by ONE WEEK later to check on it and I told him it had dried up. He didn’t even check it out himself or check the carpet for mold. He said there were a lot of other leaks in the complex as well. I let that go. Here it is November and we have experienced a third leak since we moved in May 15, 2020. I noticed my shoe boxes were wet so I checked my shoes and 4 pairs were molded and the carpet was wet. The AC or water heather is backed up to my closet where this happened and it leaked into the closet. The leasing office never reached out to me and I didn’t receive a response from DeMille until going on 3 days later. I asked for compensation for my 4 pairs of molded shoes which I had to throw away. I was told to file an insurance claim which I can understand. Needless to say I haven’t received any compensation for my 4 pairs of molded shoes I had to throw away or the inconvenience of this being the third leak in 6 months. In other words we were told that DeMille didn’t see it fit to file a claim for us because she didn’t know what she was trying to recover. The answer to that would be the cost of my 4 pair of molded shoes that had to be thrown away. Considering I know someone who lives here that was supposed to be compensated for their door being left unlocked, I think having 4 pairs of molded shoes due to the complex not performing preventative maintenance is reasonable. There were 2 big machines put in my apartment to dry the carpet for 3 days. I asked for compensation on the power it cost to run the machines. I was told if the power bill is more than the last month then we would get a credit so we shall see what happens. Once again, still no compensation for my 4 pairs of molded shoes that had to be trashed. We have also had a roach issue since we moved in. Pest control comes almost every week. You would think by now they would try something different other than the same thing that’s been done since we moved in during May. We are still seeing roaches 6 months later. Long story short, the ladies in the office are nice. However, they are not helpful whatsoever and the communication is far from impressive. I expected more. If you don’t care about location then don’t live here. If you don’t want your items damaged and not be compensated for them, have mold growing in your closet and experience 3 leaks in 6 months, don’t live here. If you don’t want to live with roaches,...
Read moreSimply the worst living experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve been here for about four months now. Yeah. Where should I begin, I’ll start with saying that most of the reviews here are completely fake and AI generated. Just look at the users that are leaving them, no history or limited history.
The fitness center equipment has been broken. Since the day I moved in here, my air-conditioning has been broken since the day I moved in here. The other residents were leaving Post-it notes everywhere saying “equipment never works“, “equipment has been broken the entire time I’ve lived here.” Then there’s the trash that is piled up at every parking garage level, with rats running around everywhere.
The elevator has also been broken since the day I moved in as well. So, if you attempt to use it on a Saturday morning, you’ll have to walk up two flights of stairs. They know this, they just refuse to fix it. That video I will leave below.
But the best part was when I caught them trying to cut urine stains out of the carpet before I moved in. Instead of replacing the carpet, that’s right, they wanted to cut the stains out and sew in some extra carpet they had left over. Once I caught them red-handed, they ended up having to replace it.
If you’re smart, you’ll avoid this place completely, and just look next-door and at the surrounding places. I’m literally leaving this review as I wait for them to reply to more requests that have been ignored.
UPDATE: just as an update, because I know a lot of times these reviews will have people assuming that things may have changed. Let me assure you, things have not changed or have gotten worse. Maintenance requests are completely ignored, the place is almost never cleaned. You should go through the parking garage, just look around and see that it’s never once been cleaned, which is why there are rats and roaches infesting this place.
On another sidenote, my air condition has broken another three times since then, I’ve had to have my refrigerator replaced, still waiting on my stove to be replaced.
The other problem that’s now come up. Is that the entrance doors to the parking deck which are supposed to be secure our tempered with so that people who don’t live here can get access in and out. It’s not a safe place to live either, and is getting worse.
The management simply doesn’t care, they even fired the old manager Jennifer and the new management has not done anything to remedy these problems. It’s just bad business as usual. Once again, stay away, way better...
