Title: Midtown Target: A Disappointing Shopping Experience
Located in the heart of Midtown, Target is often hailed as a go-to destination for all things retail. However, my recent visit to the Midtown Target left me feeling underwhelmed and frustrated, with a notable lack of customer service and organizational issues plaguing the shopping experience.
One of the most glaring issues I encountered was the lack of customer service throughout the store. As I navigated the aisles in search of various items on my shopping list, I found myself struggling to find assistance when needed. Staff members were few and far between, and those who were present seemed preoccupied or disinterested in helping customers. It was a stark departure from the attentive and helpful service I've come to expect from Target.
Additionally, the self-checkout experience was marred by an uncomfortable level of intrusion from the young lady overseeing the area. Instead of providing assistance when needed, she seemed to hover over customers' backs, creating a sense of unease and discomfort. Her presence felt more like surveillance than assistance, detracting from the convenience of self-checkout.
Organizational issues further compounded the frustrations of my shopping experience. Empty and unorganized shelves were a common sight throughout the store, making it difficult to locate items or find the specific products I needed. It was evident that the store was not adequately restocked or maintained, leading to a chaotic and unappealing shopping environment.
In conclusion, my visit to Midtown Target was marked by a disappointing lack of customer service, uncomfortable interactions at self-checkout, and organizational shortcomings. While Target has long been regarded as a reliable retail destination, the issues I encountered during my visit underscore the importance of attentive staff, efficient operations, and a commitment to maintaining a positive shopping experience for customers. It's my hope that Target addresses these issues promptly to restore its reputation as a preferred shopping...
Read moreCustomer service lady was rude, unprofessional and arguably racist. I went to this location to pick up an order placed online. Upon receiving it, I didn't like some of the items so I requested to return them. The customer service lady told me (with much distain) that I would not be able to return anything even though I'm right at the store, and would have to come back after 24 hours?? This made zero sense to me. After I expressed my dissatisfaction, she grudgingly returned my merchandise without any hurdle in the system, so she was obviously just giving me a hard time instead of "following the protocol". It was a very disheartening encounter, very disappointed.
FYI here's the copied-and-pasted target policy for returning merchandises from a pickup order: Items can be returned at Guest Services using the receipt that is emailed to you after the item is picked up. To complete a return using the emailed receipt, print or access the receipt from a mobile device and present it at Guest Services. Please note, once the email receipt is sent, it can take up to one hour before Order Pickup returns can be processed at the store where pickup occurred, and up to 24 hours if returning items to a different Target store.
---This is the same store that I picked up my order, a return should not have to wait 24 hours. I've been shopping at target for years, and this is the first time I had a...
Read moreIt’s with a heavy heart to give this store a one star because I love targets. For one I stood in the self checkout line and wanted to pay with cash only to find out the self checkouts machines didn’t take cash. (There is signage above the machine saying this) however, it was Christmas Eve and the line to get to that point is very long therefore it was a complete waste time and I wish there was signage making this fact known at the beginning of the line. Then I continue shopping more and tried to check out in the technology section. It was a book with a 30% discount. After ringing me up the employee told me that they couldn’t do the discount on the book in the tech section but could do it at the front. After waiting in line at the front the employee rings me up again, when I ask about the discounted price, the employee either intentionally or intentionally lies to me by saying it was already included in the price show. When it was not and I was charged the shelf price. Literally the sticker says “30 percent off shelf price”. Yet I wasn’t going to sit and fight with this employee on such a busy day. I wish this target did a better job at training their employees, not that it was the employees fault. But the employees seem to have little knowledge about how this stores product...
