Kilwin's is such a special treat for my family. This visit was not the level of quality that we are accustomed to from Kilwin's in Ft. Meyers, Destin, and Pensacola. We cannot help that we were ordering our ice cream and asking questions when another customer who was assisted by another employee stepped in front of the last member of our group in the middle of completing our order; unawareness (or lack of manners) can happen anywhere. I know that it is awkward for an employee to point out to an oblivious customer that they have impeded another current customer's opportunity. After all, Kilwin's is delicious and we could wait. We waited until the other customer moved so we could finish ordering. The sweetest young lady waited on us and reassured us that our $6.99 scoops were the size of a single scoop when we compared them to the size of the junior scoop we purchased. We accepted this and moved to pay over $42.00 for a shake, three single scoops, and a junior scoop. Then, the next female employee at the register gave us our total and walked away to wait on another customer at another register. (Was this a regular or a notable person? Or was this because we could wait again? He was kind.) We scanned our card and continued to wait again until the woman returned when the transaction with the other customer was completed. Maybe this is not the experience of everyone. Maybe it was the combination of all three events in one visit. Maybe it was the combination of our established expectations met with these events that gave the impression that our patronage was not valued. Too bad. Kilwin's...
Read moreThis establishment is Very unprofessional! It’s understood that a pandemic is still going on and there are limitations when it comes to people being in the store! There was a large group of us waiting and the manager told us to “Get Out,” because of the limit of people in the establishment. We made her aware that some people did leave during this process and we should be able to stay. Even still we were told to wait outside in which we did so. My daughter went inside and the manager was being unprofessional talking the situation amongst the employees. Saying”she does not have time for this” and “she is not the one to mess which”. Unbeknownst to me that she called security saying there was someone was not following the rules of the establishment. Mind you we all went outside when were told to do so. We were told that she was the manager of the establishment. Generally, many establishments have someone monitoring the front door at all times. As a manager, it is your job to set the tone for everyone else and Not to become the problem! And if an issue does arise you always go to the back and not talk about it while customers are in the store! I will not be back and I will reach out to upper...
Read moreThis is the first time I had ever visited a Kilwins and probably will never go back. The workers were rude and it obviously was a big ordeal that my friend wanted ice cream for her birthday. We walked in and the front employees stared at us as we walked to the back - a telling sign that we are not going to have a pleasant experience. As we were trying to figure out what flavors we all wanted the girl behind the counter couldn’t tell us what the flavors were. As she was trying to find something to help her out (which I was fine with by the way) a different work provided a snarky attitude to tell us what the flavors were. She appeared to have been pressed about talking to us. When I asked what one flavor was she said it under her breathe as she walked away. That right there was the reason I got no ice cream. I will not support a business if the workers are unwilling to be helpful. When the store closed they shut the lights off without any warning or asking us to leave. They could have done either of those things and I would have been good, but they just shut the lights off and said nothing to us. Arguing about how a worker locked the door. This place is a mess and I will not be trying...
