I got the brownie and chocolate with the waffle cone. My wife got the baked batter something and my son got the Oreo cookie whatever. All the flavors are impossible to wrap your mind around so it’s basically a luck of the draw as to what you get and if you like it. I mean the descriptions are all there but that’s part of the reason why I’m giving this place one star. We thought for sure the ice cream was going to be awesome based on the star rating. All of us couldn’t even finish the ice cream. My son ate 2 bites thinking he was eating Oreo cookie ice cream but it was a very odd flavor and texture. I took a couple bites as well and it wasn’t bad just weird and not anything remotely close to Oreo cookie anything. My wife’s was just weird too and mine was vegan. So when I was pointing to it at the place and asking what it was, and the answer was chocolate brownie, it would have been nice to know it was vegan. Yeah, not at all what I expected. I think it’s really cool to make your own ice cream don’t get me wrong but the flavors here are just off. I would suggest some fresh strawberry, toasted coconut, some real chocolate, and maybe some real Oreo cookie ice cream. The flavors aren’t good and I have no idea why anyone thinks they are. I suspect the star thing is a complete scam. Get some flavors that make sense to people....
Read moreHello. Love this place. I’m from Cleveland too (like one of the owners) so I can’t help letting that bias me as well. I have some suggestions however. I can’t find an email on your website to contact you. That leaves a bad taste. Also, fyi about staffing, the last time I was there I made a specific order about which flavor scoop I wanted over and under (my daughter likes to get two different flavors and is particular about stacking order). The server helping us blew us off and just did it her own way. When I mentioned that my daughter asked for the opposite she said that way would be gross. Like, that’s just like… your opinion man. Not cool. Lastly, PLEASE please get a water dispenser for God’s sake (Boise Juice Co does it right). Serving 2 oz. drams from your tap spigot upon request is subpar for any ice cream shop. Ok so all that lengthy gripe aside (if you had a contact email I could have just kept it private) I will say it’s a unique and lovely place. And my whole family loves it. And if the flavors aren’t standard enough for you, go to DQ or take one of their readily given out free samples to make a decision....
Read moreIn town on vacation. I am a huge ice-cream lover. I have milk allergies and was happy to find a place with other options and great reviews. My husband's was good, the ice cream is thick, his was made with cow milk. I wanted a cookie dough but don't like coconut and that was the only option. When I asked the girl at the counter if it tasted a lot like coconut she was like, well it is made with coconutmilk so yeah. As someone who eats non-dairy ice-cream a lot, being made with coconut milk doesn't always mean it will taste like coconut. I went with the Coffee and brownie bites and Daydreaming. Daydreaming wasn't bad but nothing special. The coffee and brownie kind though, ugh, I threw it away before finishing it. It taste like a cheap coffee was just poured into the mix. The brownie pieces taste like a nasty cheap store bought kind. I was super bummed because this place had so many great reviews. My advice is if you are looking for a specialty ice-cream parlor, especially if you need dairy free, look for someplace else. Should have taken a photo but was just bummed and...
