We visited on a Wednesday in mid-June 2025. Unfortunately it was closed at the time of our visit. We were hoping to get some National Park Service Passport Stamps here and maybe junior ranger books for the kids to work on.

We ended up getting tickets for Spectacle Island because George's Island was shut down to watermain work. We got refunded and then had to rebook for the other island. The Visitor Center at Spectacle Island was open and had NPS passport cancellation stamps and also Junior Ranger booklets and badges for the kids. Expensive way to check the box but it would feel very cheating otherwise.

Definitely stop here if you love National Parks like myself, are going to Boston National Historical Park or going to Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area. Get ferry tickets, information, maps, and a National Park Passport Stamp that you can't get anywhere else! Get a souvenir at the small gift shop in the booth. Then go out to the Pavillon and read up about the islands. Please come here! It is such a great place to visit for information,...
