Snacks Box is a mini food truck that serves Belgian desserts and Belgian Hot Chocolate, with the location changing daily that is consistently updated on their Instagram. We tried it while it was parked at the Seaport, though were a bit confused because the address listed on the Instagram post was different than the location where we found them (not a big problem, they update any changes through their Instagram story) When we arrived, there was a decently long line, as this place has gotten popular through influencers online. However, the service was quite fast, and they made sure to keep us updated throughout their entire process if any problems had rose up. We tried the hot chocolate, with the meringue ring on the outside and whipped cream topping. The hot chocolate was decently priced for the portion, and the hot chocolate was rich and not too watery or powdery. The meringue ring went well with the hot chocolate, and there is a wide range of toppings to help elevate the experience. Overall, I think the hype is worth it for the quality they provided, and would recommend this to anyone else.

I’m so lucky that this food truck is right across the street from my apartment!! I’ve been here about 5 times and each time I go it gets better and better. The pretzel bites are always my go to, and they are very buttery and soft. The hot chocolate is also amazing and is the perfect pick me up after work. Today I got the baked Alaska and their speciality hot dog, which is only available today!! The owner saw me contemplating which food item I wanted and ended up giving me the hot dog on the house!! So nice!!! The hot dog was so good and flavorful. The baked Alaska was the perfect sweet treat, but I ended up dropping it on the ground:(, so he gave me a scoop of cherry ice cream, which I honestly liked better than the vanilla. 10/10 experience!

Tried the hot chocolate with meringue ($7). It was served at the perfect temperature (just hot enough that it warms your soul without burning your tongue). The meringue was really sweet, but I liked the texture. It didn’t have much of a toasted flavor, though—more like regular marshmallow fluff. The hot chocolate was rich and didn’t taste like the cheap chocolate you can buy in stores. The workers were also friendly. Overall, I probably wouldn’t get this again only because of the price, but it’s worth trying at least once.

This was an incredibly disappointing experience. We are visiting Boston from out of state. My daughter saw a review raving about this food cart. We figured we would make the trek and visit. We came at noon to the location on the website said and they were not there. I checked again and they had changed their hours of operation with little notice, now they were opening at 3. At 3 they still were not there. I called and was told they would open in 20 min. After waiting hours we walked up and were told to wait inside a local university and that she would text us. At 330 we walked back out because noone called and there was a line already and the lady looked right at us knowing our story and we still had to wait… we finally got to the front of the line, paid, and honestly I wish I had my time back, the hot chocolate was not worth it at all. Sure, I should have told my daughter never mind but today was our last day in Boston and the review was enough to make us deviate and check it out. Don't bother going out of your way…

The lesson here is they got a little famous fast off of an influencer but they do not actually have courtesy towards patrons changing their hours with little notice or care for the inconvenience they cause the people they are serving. They called like an hour after we left saying we should come by… complete disregard for peoples time, we had already paid and left. Terrible customer Service, terrible experience for a mediocre...

was finally able to visit for my birthday last week near Quincy market! Ordered the hot chocolate with meringue and was told that I would have to wait 15 minutes for the meringue to be ready. So my husband ordered a Oreo latte while we waited but come to find out after his latte was already made, we were told there would be no meringue at all that day. it felt very shady and the two people working were not very nice about it. If we couldn't get the drinks we wanted, we probably just would've came back another day. But we were misled and there was no signage or indication that they didn't have the meringue. In fact, there was a huge sign that said hot chocolate with meringue on it. Overall very poor customer service and not what we expected. Needless to say, I doubt I'll make a special trip out...
