I am so heartbroken over the service i received at viselli. I wish i were exaggerating when i say i've been crying myself to sleep every day since the new hair. i would consider myself a regular at viselli, going to Leslie for haircuts and blowouts, I have always been happy with my results. I had a consultation with Leslie for color change. I showed her several photos of what I was looking for - a magenta/violet red on my ENTIRE head. Leslie was very hesitant to do my whole head and several times said she didn't recommend it. This confused me quite a bit because Leslie has done full head color on other people (as seen on her IG). She suggested I do a red balayage for lower maintenance and to cause less damage on my hair. I conceded because she is the pro after all! We googled magenta-red balayages together and were seemingly on the same page about what I wanted. Leslie bleached my hair using foils and heat, and then used permanent dye.
I walked into this appointment with long virgin hair, and walked out with a fried and uneven mess. I had been growing my hair out for 2.5 years and had finally decided to splurge on this. Though Leslie has always been friendly and sweet, I simply cannot excuse the job that was done. My self-esteem has taken a huge hit. I paid $650 for this. I no longer trust anyone at this salon to fix my hair and I will need to pay a whole lot more to fix what has been done to it. Not only was this balayage not what was described, my hair breaks off any time i brush it or gently run my hand through it, I'm certain I'll need to chop it. The color looked outgrown and washed out within moments of me leaving the salon. I can't stand to look at myself in the mirror and I literally have not gone outside because of how embarrassed I am. I am not new to red hair or bleaching, and for most of my life my mom dyed my hair at home and even then, I have NEVER fried my hair the way it was fried at Viselli.
I was very hesitant to write this review because I never leave reviews, but I just can't let this go. Lastly, I want to add that leslie reached out to me after I expressed i wasn't satisfied. She advised me to give it a few days before deciding on any big changes and honestly, the last few days have only made me hate looking at myself even more. I booked consultations with 3 other stylists immediately to see how this could be fixed, everyone has told me my hair has been terribly over processed.
I wish I could go back in time, cause now I am grieving the hell out of my long natural hair. Again, $650 for this.
*UPDATE: Leslie was so condescending over the phone and not once took accountability for the bad dye job. In fact she said she stands behind her work 100% and said it was my fault for choosing the color I chose. Color choice doesn’t explain the terribly unblended “balayage.” I feel really sorry for her if she thinks she did a good job, very arrogant. They are also now trying to bury my review on here and Yelp by writing more positive reviews for Leslie within the last 24hrs lol. Reshared a review of someone that had a similar experience. I wish I’d...

Hello owner of Viselli Salon. Unfortunately there seems to be a miscommunication here. I never received texts or follow up emails to provide feedback or I would have happily before trying here as I explained on the day to multiple people, I was a tourist from another country. Due to this I can’t just call or show up to the salon to provide said feedback.
I wasn’t dissatisfied with some aspects of the service, I commended your staff as they were polite and friendly but other than that, the entire job wasn’t acceptable or to a professional level to be considered a fair and equal hair service. They ignored specific requests not to use a product as I knew it wouldn’t last (it washed out after a week) and then when I asked specifically what was used, I was lied to. Once I returned to the chair the senior stylist who toned my hair left and handed over to a junior stylist to “blow dry” my hair. I was asked if I wanted a full “blow out” in which I replied “yes, I’d like my hair blow dried straight please”. What was done wasn’t that. My hair was wavy and kinked when she noticed that she put hair spray on to try to sit my hair down which also didn’t last. I paid $107 usd which is 172.60 aud to have my hair toned and badly dried. I’m sorry but there isn’t a way to relay that anymore constructively to you. With over 1.4K reviews of an average of 4.8 stars I expected better.
After having several bad experiences with salons I decided to try this highly rated place. I went in and asked to get a silver colour put on my hair as I had a combination of yellowish roots and mid to end length white blond hair. While they technically did achieve that goal overall, though still quite patchy I asked them specifically not to use a toner several times as it contains less pigment and won’t last as long, they agreed they wouldn’t, yet they still did. I only found out that they used toner at the end when I paid for the visit. At several stages I was asked if the plan for the hair was ok and I was under the impression that a colour would be used not a toner. Following that I asked for my hair to be blow dried straight which unfortunately wasn’t executed well enough to hold after 30 minutes even with hair spray applied. Personally the work done wasn’t worth the price I paid ($107). Although despite all of this less than ideal situation, the staff themselves were very friendly and I appreciate...
Read moreI had two appointments two days in a row (treatment then cut/blow dry) & couldn’t have been happier with my experience with Wes & Viselli Salon! I am a bit delayed in writing this as I started school the day after Labor Day, so have been a bit tied up, but feel I can provide a more accurate review now that it’s been 2 weeks since my appointment. I got the magic sleek treatment on a Tuesday and went back the next day for a cut & color/gloss. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO STRAIGHTEN CURLY HAIR THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!! WES DID AN AMAZING JOB! I cannot recommend enough. I’m 29/W/F and have previously bleached (silver/platinum), currently colored (black blue), wavy, hard to manage, frizzy, dark brown/black (natural color) hair. I have had Brazilian blowouts, keratin, etc. since back in high school and am truly blown away by my hair after the first magic sleek treatment! It is everything I wanted! I can’t believe what a difference it makes in the morning that my hair is just ready to go and not something I have to spend time on just getting it to look ok for work, errands, outings, etc. Again I have now washed my hair more than once since the treatment and it dries like “normal,” manageable hair I can quickly toss up in a pony tail and be on the move, which had been slightly life changing for me as I do not have a lot of time to get ready in the mornings, or between work and anything I plan on doing after. I will 100% be going back! They also provide a full size shampoo conditioner to extend the life of the treatment! I have, again, had several straightening/ anti frizz treatments before that either were gone after a wash or required an hour styling to maintain and this is the most manageable and tame my hair has ever been even if I just let it air dry. 10/10 cannot recommend enough and will absolutely be back for another!! The color is wonderful too and I appreciated how they recommended doing so after the straightening treatment to avoid it being stripped. I have a pretty basic cut and have switched from platinum ash blonde to a black blue color since the last time I went out of my way to go to a salon and Wes absolutely nailed it off a very basic description of my usual go to. Love the color, love the cut, and am OBSESSED with the magic sleek treatment, I wish I found...
