This park features a nice open layout with many ramps that range from a long, low pyramid all the way up to 6+ foot half and quarter pipes. This makes the park very accessible for beginners looking to start building confidence going on their first run, while still allowing more experienced skaters to push their limits too.

All of the ramps are plywood over metal frames, so you may experience a little slippage if you roll with harder wheels like I do. While plywood is nice and smooth when brand new, it also develops flaws, chips, warping etc over time. However, this park is decently maintained, so all ramps are absolutely rideable.

Bring sunscreen, as there are only a couple picnic tables under a large carport for shade. Bring your own beverage too, being that there are no places to buy one within easy walking distance. (There IS a restroom, as long as you are ok with using a porta potty.)

If ramps are not your speed just yet, there is also an entire roller hockey rink that is open to the public on one side of the park.

While you're there, don't be shy - say hi to your fellow skaters! I've found the skate community in general to be extremely approachable and friendly. Here in Chattanooga, you get the standard skater friendliness PLUS good ol Southern...

As a skater, and firstly, a human, the disrepair and constant neglect of our space makes me nothing less than sick. I went to use the space around 8 this morning, and was greeted with FECAL matter smeared on one of the most popular obstacles to use. My first thought was, "maybe it was a dog", seeing how you could throw a rock to the chew chew skatepark next door. Unfortunately, after sharing it to a few friends who frequent the space more than anyone, I learned this was actually HUMAN feces, painted onto not one, but several ramps around the skatepark by an unhoused person. After hours of trying to get ahold of the right person to call, they called me back about my concern, and told me I had the feces confused with chocolate cake... Any common sense person could walk up to this stuff and deem it is NOT CAKE. One smells horrid, one doesn't. This almost feels like some sort of mean joke, but it's not in the least surprising considering how awful we've been treated as a group of people in the last few years. When does it end? See photos below for what the city says is "chocolate cake", and keep in mind that...

I like this skatepark. It's got wood like MDF sub boxes. The areas clean, the parking lot is clean. They got bathrooms. This location flows very well. There's a lot of excitement and course is very fast😎. Great place to make New friends.
