Okay, maybe it's not too far from where everything is, but it is a ways out of the way, and the parking rules in the area were a bit confusing how they were written. I did not see much else in the area for casual people to indulge in, but that is not too much of an issue. Now, the place can be easy to find once you are parked and start walking around. Might be one of the very few places over there that is actually occupied in the evenings. Upon entering, you immediately feel the difference in atmosphere. It is cool, warmly lit, with an open space that feels nice. There was no crowd when my partner and I experienced the place, and we liked the darkened environment for the most part, although it did not feel cozy or welcoming. On the other hand, our server was the one with a warm touch. We were immediately seated, at a very nice corner space at that, with a nice window - although there is not much to look at. The seats are nice and the table is spacious. As we looked over the menus we were given water and I ordered a nice white wine that turned out to be pleasantly subtle. The menu is not overwhelming but presents a good variety of food to choose from. It is simple and pretty basic compared to other menus, but this can be so trivial if the food itself is able to satisfy us more than just filling our bellies. We made our order and waited no more than ten minutes before the tapas started collecting at our table. My grilled octopus was sensational. Considering my only other experience with octopus was disappointing, I had very little for this one. Yet, they surprised me and I was happy with what I was given. Worth the price? Probably not, but I was okay with this, and I liked how it was presented. We shared fried deviled eggs that I found to be the best deviled eggs I've ever tasted in my life. Now, my take should be taken with a grain of salt because I have not tried many compared to my partner, but these were delicious. I would come back just for that. Overall, the experience was delightful. It was not loud, it was not crowded, we were given wonderful service, and as long as you have the change for it you should check it out.

In the world of tapas, where the distinction between authentic and ordinary is often blurred, Amada emerges as a true gem, especially in a quaint locale like Chattanooga. The essence of genuine tapas isn't just about serving food on small plates; it's an art that Amada has mastered with its commitment to freshness and quality. A standout example is their Octopus dish, which our server informed us arrives within 24 hours of being caught off the coasts of Spain – a testament to their dedication to fresh, high-quality ingredients. What truly enhances the dining experience at Amada is the thoughtfully curated wine list. While it may seem limited at first glance, each selection complements the menu beautifully, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. Moreover, their Wednesday special – half-price bottles – is a delightful surprise, making even the most luxurious wines accessible. Amada's ambiance adds to its charm, creating the perfect backdrop for an evening of indulging in wonderful small plates and fine wine.

Great atmosphere that reminds us of being in the rain forest. The service was great and timely! Overall the food was good but we did have some small critiques to make it great. The libations were also good with some interesting flavor profiles. We LOVE grilled octopus and thought it could have been grilled a little bit more to intensify the flavor. The sauce that came with need some heat and acidity. The egg plant was good (we did get this on the house due to a misorder from another table) but thought it could use some spicy to balance out the sweet new of the glaze. The steak tataki needed some acidity and/or heat. The seared salmon, carpaccio, asparagus, crab cakes and street corn were all great! For dessert we had the pear empanada which we thought was not good. It tasted of fry oil and the filling was gray and tasteless, with no pear flavor. You will need to park on the street but beware of where you park as most of its paid parking except for Sundays.

When it comes to dining, I'm not simply seeking sustenance but a soulful experience; an interplay of culture, ambiance, and culinary artistry that breathes life into a meal. In Chattanooga, few restaurants have captured this elusive essence quite like Amada Tapas.

Amada Tapas is more than just a restaurant, it's an artistic endeavor, brimming with passion and care. Here, every dish represents an investment not just in high-quality ingredients, but also in crafting a memorable dining experience. You'll find this reflected in the slightly higher price point, but believe me, it's worth every penny.

My recent visit saw a bill of around $250 for a party of three. While this might seem steep compared to some local eateries, the comparison truly ends there. The quality, the flavor profiles, the ambiance, and the sheer joy of eating at Amada Tapas is unparalleled in Chattanooga. It's a scenario where I'd gladly choose one exceptional meal here over two at a more average local establishment.

In the vibrant tapestry of Chattanooga's restaurant scene, Amada shines brightly, a beacon for those seeking more than just a meal. Dining here is an investment in an unforgettable culinary journey, one I wholeheartedly recommend. It's not just about eating, it's about experiencing food in a way that moves you – and in that, Amada Tapas...

I had never heard of this place which I thought was unusual. Found it one day when walking by. What a pleasant surprise! The food was fantastic! The drinks were just okay. Sidney, our server, was terrific. Very friendly and attentive. It’s tapas, so small plates which was perfect bc my family always likes to try a lot and usually ends up ordering too much. But we got to try a lot of great dishes and didn’t get sickeningly full and end up leaving with loads of leftovers. The steak was amazing!! And I don’t usually love red meat, but it had a crust on it that I’ll dream about. The meatballs rivaled my moms famous meatballs! And the fried deviled eggs were delicious! Everything we had to eat was great, expect for the yellow fin, which was just okay. It lacked some flavor. But I give this place 5 stars bc the ambiance was nice (good music and moody interior, plus very clean), service was great, and food was outstanding! I hope they learn to market themselves better bc I would love to see them stay around. Chattanooga needs a traditional Spanish tapas joint like this and not another American/pizza/burger place with...
