Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati — Attraction in Cincinnati

Visited this casino in the mid morning hours in March 2025.

The Good: Casino is expansive with a large selection of the newest games. Games so new they haven’t made it to the other local racinos in the State yet. It is one of the four Constitutionally approved Casinos allowed to operate in Ohio so it has table games available of every type and stripe. It also has true Class III slot machines that operate with individual random number generators inherent in their units. This is contrary to the Class II “VLT’s” that operate via a central server outcome via the Ohio Lottery. This moniker allows for truly individual random outcomes. Game play was dead spins to hand-pays as is typical with most casino undertakings when dealing with random luck. The casino and game variety is a 9/10. Security was friendly and present enough that the place has a secure feeling to it without it being overbearing. The person at the cage that printed my players card was awesome as well! Comps are fairly decent as I had 240.00 in free play waiting and I hadn’t played there in almost a year. That’s pretty good considering.

The Not so Great: Slot service when I was there was ABYSMAL. I had won a hand pay and waited almost 15 minutes for the attendant to make it to the machine and that was after asking a manager type person what was going on. The lady that attended me was as personable as a rock. I tried to engage her in conversation a few times and she acted like I was bothering her because “she was so busy” according to her. After that wait it took almost 25 minutes to receive a less than 2000.00 hand pay. I had my card in at every machine I was playing at while I was waiting and somehow they said they “couldn’t find me”. The tip reflected the ridiculous wait time. For comparison I hit 8 hand pays at Miami valley Gaming the day before and waited less time for all EIGHT of those to be handled than I did for this ONE.

After the hand-pay they came back and asked me for my Id so they could “scan” it. Why? I have no idea. I have hit hand pays there before and they scanned it earlier when I had a players card reprinted. She said it was protocol or whatever. This wasn’t a big deal. The fact it took almost twenty minutes, and I had to go in search of my ID was though. I had over an hour tied up in ONE hand-pay. This was ridiculous and will probably be a reason I will not return to this venue. They need to improve on this area big time. This was at 0920 on a Thursday. It’s not like the place was packed by any stretch. I can’t imagine the chaos it is when they are busy.

When you’re competing for business, in a market that has some saturation, SERVICE should be high on the list of priorities. I have no idea why their slot department operates as slowly as it does, but it will definitely be a factor in whether I return in the future.

I try to refrain from leaving too many reviews especially when they are bad but I'm tired of such BAD service for the price we all have to pay! It's ridiculous and people need to take pride in their work again regardless of what job it may be! But anyway back to my not-so-great visit to the Hard Rock and it was at the Cafe not the actual Casino but this is the only option it gave me! When I put this pic up people I know are gonna say that there's no way they did that but I swear on everything that's 💯 % WHAT they did give me oh and get this they opened at noon today(Friday) and I was the 2nd person to place my order and there was NOBODY IN the Cafe at all!! So I was legit the 2nd order of the day and all I ordered was a Legendary Burger and a Chocolate milkshake. Well, it took 45 minutes and this is what it looked like ⬇️⬇️⬇️👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 I swear I didn't take ANY out! I wish I was making this up! And I even went back and showed them and they laughed and shrugged their shoulders like they either don't care or they are used to seeing it OR it could be both! Idk 🤷🏼‍♀️ 🤷🏼‍♀️ 🤷🏼‍♀️ 🤷🏼‍♀️ But I paid $19.99 for this very small overdone burger and 8 fries which were ALL COLD! I was the 2nd order of the day!! And we were standing right there waiting for the order so it wasn't like it was sitting there waiting for us to pick it up for goodness sake lol! It came out and went straight to us it didn't even touch the counter for a second so it wasn't us!! I just hate paying so much for something worth a fraction of what it is or paying for luxury but getting generic! So yeah pretty frustrating day at Hard Rock all the way around! Lost hundreds of dollars in the casino then went and got a cold, overcooked, tiny "Legendary" burger, 8 fries, and a TINY milkshake (which I forgot to mention is $7.99 for an 8oz)!!! I got that for $28 bucks! Do you see that picture of what I got?!? I'm shocked and so upset and it's because this seems to be a pattern with them. I try going to talk to someone at the Player's Club and the Cashier's and I've gotten NO help whatsoever! So if my discomfort or frustration can help someone in any way then I'm happy to post all of my bad days lol, if it helps lol! 😅 I wish it was a good review because I loved this place both the Casino and restaurant but it was NOT this time 4 sure and I hope somehow it will be better the next time but I'm not gonna get my hopes up or hold...

March 12, 2025.

Back at it again. Today could have been a better day to play slots but it was super bad. First I like to start off with the food place. I went to Brick Oven House. Wasn't impress with the cash register lady. She seems made that she has to work there . I said hi and how you doing to cheer her up but she just didn't want to greet me. Ok, cool. I get like that too at work, but I'm not in customer service. So I order the chicken salad, oatmeal cookie, water and caesar chicken salad. Got the food which i guess they don't call out your name. So had to go asked. Cookie was good and water. Then I started on the cool grill chicken salad. The chesse taste like it was plastic. And chicken was to dry and 🥶 I won't recommend this salad. Now the buffalo wings was good. I even ate all 6 wings but toss out the salad.

Next, let me talked about the slot machines. Came in with plenty of money to bet 1.00 to 20.00. I jumped all around to different machines and new ones I never used. Don't you know, the bonus returns off 12.50 a bet in high roller room was a pay out of 25 dollars. All my bonus spins if I got them was a so low return , that made me feel so uncomfortable to be in here wasting my money. I was looking for a jackpot of anything but at least a decent return off the bonus spins. Haha, to me . I'm the fool today. Tell me when is it best to come play slots because the number of slots I got on and bet sizes I played wasn't worth ever coming back to this casino. I jumped around tmon bets and machines. The pay out was to low. Crazy. Well, guess it's back to the way they was. Take all your money and give you crap. Best enjoyment I had was the wings making me use the bathroom before I left and then I hit a jackpot at Newport which I wasn't expecting to happen.. Go figure

Noted: I sat back and eating my food and I noticed this cashier register lady at Brick Oven Pizza is being super nice and talkative to folks of white skin. I sat back to see how she was to black men and she wasn't happy or acted like she didn't want to serve them. I can tell through her mask she us smiling to non black men. Just a note, I won't order from her if she is working or maybe don't attend this this establishment since they made me feel uncomfortable because of my race. But other workers there was nice and...
