On August 16, 2025 at 1pm we went on the Little Toot Dolphin Adventure. We had done this cruise many years ago, but this time my husband and I were excited to bring our 3-year-old daughter along.
We booked directly through their website, which saved us money compared to third-party sites. They note that marina parking can be tricky and suggest arriving 45 minutes early. On our way to Clearwater Beach, a staff member actually called us to let us know the marina lot was full and gave us alternative suggestions (so thoughtful!). We ended up parking in a garage about an 8–10 minute walk away.
At the ticket booth, we were greeted by the sweetest lady. She chatted with us, was so kind to our daughter, and even found a fan to help keep her cool while we waited in the shade. Such a nice touch!
Before boarding, they take a photo of your group in front of the boat. The keepsake picture is only $10 in a nice cardboard frame, and the quality turned out amazing. At the end of the cruise, all the photos are displayed for pickup.
The captain began with a safety talk, and both he and the first officer were so welcoming throughout the ride. The larger boat we were on was a great size, with shaded seating, a restroom, and drinks available onboard (cash only).
About 15–20 minutes into open water, we spotted dolphins swimming alongside us. Then, as the captain sped up, dolphins began leaping in the boat’s wake! Both crew members helped point out where to look and made sure everyone got a good view.
From start to finish, it was a 10/10 experience. Everyone was friendly, the atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and they truly went out of their way to make families feel welcome. We couldn’t have asked for a better dolphin adventure. Highly recommend!

Read moreThe tour was so much fun. This is a very well taken care of boat. Looking at the other tour boats in the harbor we saw some are in need of some TLC and maintenance. This is one reason we picked this tour.
First off the crew were great. The captain was very good at handling the tug boat. The first mate and MC was very personable and attentive. They serve drinks at a cash only bar if you want, so we elected for a beer.
We then toured some of the very expensive homes along the bay with the first mate narrating what we saw. Then it was to see where some mother dolphins keep their young safe in some shallows that boats can't enter.
Then off to see some wild dolphins in the gulf. The tour skirts the shores of Clearwater Beach. Nice view and that is where the dolphins hang out i guess. We were not disappointed. We saw no less then 15 or so dolphins with their young in tow.
It was a sight to see when the younglings keep up with the full size ones. Jumping and flipping in the boats wake. Lots of great photos and video for every one on board.
We did the sunset cruise and the captain made SURE everyone got a very good photo of themselves with the sunset behind them, by perfectly positioning the boat.
The family had a great time. the boat was NOT over crowded and we had plenty of room to see what we came for.
We loved it! Totally worth the money. We highly...
Read moreExcellent in every way. We were a bit of a rare group as we didn't have a single dolphin sighting on our initial trip. To no fault at all of the crew. They did everything they could to find a pod for us, but it wasn't meant to be. However, the guarantee offered by this company is the exact reason we chose to go with them(along with the many many fabulous reviews). We immediately booked our make-up trip for the following day and honestly I couldn't have imagined a better trip for my family. This time the crew was able to quickly find a pod of dolphins and those beautiful creatures put on a show for us. They followed the boat jumping and playing about. My kids were delighted watching them leap from the water as they followed the wake of the vessel. I wish I could remember the name of the deckhand(we were on the 11am 10/19/23 tour), she was fantastic! So much energy and loved all the info she shared about properties and local happenings as we headed back to the docks. She encouraged us to have fun and cheer on the dolphins while expressing facts about them that kept the kids riveted. We had a different crew the first tour and while there is nothing bad to say about them, this particular crew was above and beyond expectations. Loved everything about this tour and will definitely be coming back...
