Green Light Tattoos and Art Gallery — Attraction in Cleveland

I don’t even know where to begin. @Drudreaux(his IG) is an exceptional artist. As an individual who is very dark skinned, Dru reassured me that we would be able to bring my idea to life: and he absolutely delivered. I feared not being able to articulate what I wanted, but like any artist, he just needed a moment. Moments that i will look back with so much fondness: his shadowing technique that was able to compliment/ contrast my skin, and his conversation that put me at ease for 5 hours. Not only was he eloquent with his pen, but with his words. He was able to do thin lines on my dark skin, but made them deep and purposefull, as if he was carving stone. Really highlighting the small details on my arms. I felt valued. And still, he had the humility to get it verified by the seniors in the shop. BEWARE. BEWARE. BEWARE. I got a lovely blowout from an artist here. My friend and I got the exact same tattoo from the same artist. She went first, and I went second. My friend luckily experienced no blowouts, so we know the artist is partially competent - just not consistent or reliable.

As for me, I could tell there was something wrong as soon as the artist kept rubbing at a section of my tattoo over and over trying to wipe off the ink. Unfortunately for me, it wasn’t ink on the surface but rather a beautiful blowout appearing below. Now half of my tattoo is progressively getting blurrier as the blowout is getting more pronounced. Went in for a tattoo with Corinne (insta: @houseofcree), who is an apprentice, and could not have been happier. She was very patient and well prepared, and allowed me to alter the design she had prepared to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. I would recommend her to anyone! I had forgotten to eat as I have been wildly busy, and when I almost passed out she made sure I had an orange and water and wouldn’t continue until I had taken care of myself. She nailed the detailing and fine lines of my design, and was very careful to make sure everything was perfect, and the price I paid was accurate to the quote she gave me.
