I have been coming to this nail salon every 2 to 3 weeks since 2018 with no issues. I get a balance most times some times a new set and a pedicure a few times a year. Sometimes I bring 1 or both of my daughters. I have suggested it to friends. I have easily spent thousands at this establishment. I have never had any issues or reason to complain. I always leave a 20 to 30 percent tip. There is typically a wait due to me being a walk in. My schedule doesn't really allow for me to make and keep an appointment. So that's expected. I am sitting in my car after just leaving and honestly I'm really confused as to why I was just treated the way I was. I walked in and signed in at noon. The woman at the desk asked what I needed I told her a balance. She said ok have a seat. The waiting area was full so I figured it would be a while. I was sitting scrolling on my phone for about 20 minutes. So far just a normal visit. A young male with a shaved head asked if I was waiting for a balance I said yes and he told me to go to 4 (his station) and asked if I had picked out my color. I told him I knew what I wanted and said the name of the color, and was explaining that I also wanted matte black on 2 of my fingers when he started to talk over me. Saying that I needed to give him the number, in a very annoyed tone. I thought no big deal that probably is annoying. We were standing right next to where all the colors are hanging so I reached over and grabbed the the color guide and said the number. It happened to be basically right on top so it took maybe 15 seconds. He snatched it out of my hands and looked at it asked me if I was sure that's what I wanted and then directed me to sit. He then went and got the bottle and when he came back with just the one I said I don't know if you heard me or not but I want matte black as well. He asked what fingers and I told him. He then asked me to clarify literally twice more. I just wanted my thumb and pointer finger black and the rest red. Then he takes my hand and tells me to watch TV. I said I like to watch and he yelled at me again to watch TV. I told him that he was being really aggressive and I no longer wanted the service. He felt he needed to say "I don't want to do you either" but that was obvious from the moment he spoke to me.
Such a disappointment, when I was just looking to relax. I will...
Read moreI’m not sure what happened between the visit today and August 7th because I was very pleased before. Each time I asked for the same thing which was French tip with gel polish. I’m guessing the nail tech on August 7th put a darker base color on my nail to make it look presentable since I’m getting a balance with French tip and not a full set. This time I wasn’t offered that courtesy and honestly didn’t know that it was something I needed to ask for. I went to wash my hands to conclude my service and in that area is better light. I can see there that you can see every imperfection in my nail so I politely advised the front desk. The man attending the front proceeded to ask me “If I knew I didn’t like it why didn’t I say anything?” and continued repeating that it looks good to him. The nail tech(Manager Ivy) that did my nails then comes over and says I needed to ask for a darker base which again I did not know or ask for August 7th or any other time in the 15 or so years I have been getting my nails done. She also stated that she saw the darker base coat when removing my old polish but there was no mention of it when she did my service. In this profession why would you proceed to do a service that you know as a professional would look bad without advising your client? I was waiting to speak with the tech from my previous service however she was with another client. The male worker approached me yet again and told me to interrupt the client’s service to speak with the tech which I refused. The manner in which I was approached by the male worker is the reason for this review. If there was some disconnect in communication that’s one thing but to be condescending about it is ridiculous. I did end up having my nails redone by Nina(second to last photo), the service provided by her and the tech that did my pedicure...
Read moreThis review used to be a 5 star even though it's a 4 service. I have had minor issues with my nails, but i hate to complain, especially when it's super busy.
Today, i am changing my review to a solid 1 star, and this is where my hard earned money ends with lovely nails.
I take my parents here maybe 3 times a year just to do something nice. In the entire salon, there were a total of 5 maybe 6 customers today.
As a business, not all your customers will be happy with your service. My mother asked for the person to do her pedicure twice because she was not happy with it. Instead, he and the entire store caught a disgusting attitude.
First, she wanted to change her pedicure, which is normal.. like, what's the big deal?! She wanted her water warmer, and lastly, her skin was sticking out of her toe. If this was a busy day, i could understand the attitude.
To top off the negativity, i booked eyebrows for my mother and i, and they told me the eyebrow person had an emergency.
She was sitting diagonal to us from the second she came in, but they looked me in the eye like i was an idiot and told me she had left.
By the way. Those tiktok videos where people leave Google translate on to hear what disrespect people who render service say is not pretend.
The last time I brought my parents, the eyebrow lady literally commended me for doing something nice for my parents. I wasn't sitting with them then, but when I walked in, they were all laughing and chatting.
Today was the worst service ever and primarily because of how the snickered at my parents. For people with a second language too, you would expect understanding.
One customer might not mean much to you, or maybe 3, but soon these numbers add up, and this is from one business...
