Read moreI paid a visit to Arundel Mills on 09/23/2024. The moment I walked in, I was caught by a kiosk called Straight Ahead. I tried the product and paid for it. The sales woman proceeded to continue straightening my hair and sell us more products. This is where i realized it I didnt like the product i purchased. All this while no receipt was printed yet! When the sales person straightened the rest of my hair, I didnât find anything special with the product, this is when i was asking the sales associate to Cancel My transaction, she Kept pressing on the screen then printed the receipt AFTER I asked her to cancel. she handed me the receipt and informed me that I cannot refund due to their policy. A policy that I was failed to be communicated with me and the printed policy paper was not facing me when I paid. I asked the sales associates to contact their management, the said that they have not contact with them and that I should call the number on their website. I did exactly that and the phone operator couldnât help either because they were just a booth that not directly connected to the mother company. Unfortunately no names were provided except for the companyâs phone operator(Veronica).
Unfortunately I missed many red flags. 1.the prices kept dropping like crazy until I fell into their sales pitch. Sales associates pressure into buying One of the Sales associate was very political Not providing me with my receipt immediately once I paid (took a good 10-15 mins to print it for me) Not having connections with their own management.
I can keep going.
Please steer away from the Straight Ahead booth. I checked reviews after and they were literally called scammers. Selling poor quality product...
Read moreStill stressed and embarrassed after my visit to this location. I was here on Thursday evening, August 29,2024 to do some shopping accompanied by my service dog. I was approached by mall security in the food court and told my service dog must be on a leash and given a card stating the same. After a few moments of explaining the rules and laws regarding service animals under ADA to security, they threatened they are just going to call county police on me. I noticed numerous people staring and watching as this went on which made things very uncomfortable. I informed them this is illegal under ADA laws, Titles 1, 2 & 3. To which they said it is not because the mall is private property. I told them just to do what they wish and continued on my way due to the unwanted attention this event caused. With that said. Per ADA Laws regarding service animals, Dogs are NOT required to be on a leash if it effects the safe, effective function of their task. And the ADA guarantees that all people with disabilities have the legal right to use their assistance animal in all places open to the general public. I can strongly say this facility has fallen way short on that and a lengthy complaint will be issued with state and federal agencies regarding this issue. It is an absolute shame to be treated like this in public due to my service dog because of a disability I have no...
