This is primary a pickleball review. The park is fairly new 09/2023. Visited 01/07/2025 at 11 am. Only 1 other person in the park. Has 2 dog parks a children's play area it's really spread out 4 acre park. Lost points on pickleball rating due to only 1 court and its a multiuse basketball with pickleball court. RATINGS: OVER ALL 7.7/10 COURT SURFACE- 7.9/10 LIGHTING – Good; Lights; available COURTS: (1) outdoor Court. LOCATION: 408 S Harwood St., Dallas, Tx 75201 Website: https://www.dallasparks.org/Facilities/Facility/Details/Harwood-Park-837 38-degree temperature. COST: Free; dog park right next to court. Another Dog park nearby. It’s a multiuse court (basketball & pickleball with a permanent net. No players (38-degree temperature). OPEN PLAY TIMES: OPEN PLAY TIMES: Open 8am - 10:30pm every day of the week PROS: Free; Gated area; large fence surrounding the court. Plenty of room surrounding court. CONS: It is shared with basketball. Only 1 court. No players at the time. NOTES ABOUT THIS VISIT: 4acre park. Fairly new only other downtown parks with pickleball: Cole Park and GoodSurf. Several places to sit down, children area. Lost several rating points (1 court and share with Basketball). See the last 2 photos for parking cost. Last one is Farmers Market free parking.

Read moreWas a hot day so slides were burning, the platforms in the elephant play place had some gross stuff up in it but the playground was super cool and unique. The ground fountains were nice cuz of the heat but they shut off at 7:30ish. There were some homeless people around. Kept to themselves. A woman asked about the timing of the fountains being shut off; seemed like she wanted to “clean up” in there? The field area was open and felt nice while being in the middle of the city.
