Nike Community Store - Detroit — Attraction in Detroit

A REAL review of this ghetto hangout. I went to this store with my wife and her sister. I WAS a regular shopper there until this incident. I had 5 boxes in my hand and asked an employee if it's ok to set it down. He snapped back and said if you set it down I'll put everything back. I was a little shocked with his attitude but ignored him. I moved over to the next aisle because my wife and her sister felt uncomfortable. I set down a pair of shoes to try on a different size and within 15 seconds the same employee tried to pick them up and take them. I told him I'm buying those and he just walked away. My wife then realized this guy wanted to start problems so she asked me to move to the other side of the store. I was trying on a pair of shoes in the clearance section and here he comes again. I put the shoe on to try it and he says "you just destroyed that shoe." That's when I got infuriated and asked him why are you following me? His exact words were "ain't nobody following you little boy." I then told him "I really feel like you are a creep and you are scaring my wife and I." He then said "What you tryna do?" as if he wanted to fight. I told him to leave us alone because he is a creep and his exact response was "Yo momma is a creep." I then called the store 2 weeks later and the manager says "We gave you 10 percent off already sir, what do you want from us?" If you are a classy person, this place will scare you. It holds up to it's name "Nike DETROIT." Managers think that a discount will shut you up. I called in and they had a worse attitude then the employee I dealt with. This shows why the employees act that way. I promise, stay away and go to the one in Great Lakes Crossing or Tanger Outlets. How can you feel safe if an employee wants...

I went online to purchase a pair of shoe for mothers day as a gift to myself, but experienced an issue with the website so I had to connect Nike to make the purchase. Now I am a Nike plus member so before making the purchase I went into my account to make sure all my information was updated and gave the representative my email address to make sure that it ran smooth and I also repeated my information twice to make sure there was no issues. I had 2 day rush and by the 3rd day I realized there had to be an issue, so I contacted FedEx and they stated the address was incorrect and they could try to send it to a FedEx pick up point and that I should contact Nike because they have a strict policy when it comes to shipping. I contacted Nike let them know about the issue and they stated that they would reach out to there team that deals with FedEx and I shouldn't have an issue picking it up ( oh little did I know that was a lie and give me the run around). I contacted the FedEx point to see if my package was there and it wasnt. I contacted Nike to figure out why it wasnt, first I got hung up on than I called back to speak to a manager and was told why and I can help and I dont transfer call unless we know why. So I spend 2 hours on the phone and basically I was told I wouldn't receive my shoes and I can take my business to footlocker so going forward I will not be making purchase from Nike because even if it's a dollar I worked for it and I am spending it with you...

Love this Nike store.

I am not a big "shopper", but I get to the gym regularly.

I love that this is a discount outlet. Last year's gear is fine with me, and I have found some Nike gear for reasonable prices. When I needed to replace my workout shoes, I headed to this store.

They have the best wall of sneakers I have seen. It is fun to see all the different colors and styles. The spacing in the store is good, that I can walk through, but it is not like a high-end store with one rack every 10-feet.

I love the location right on Woodward in Detroit. The store carries a little Michigan stuff (UofM, MSU, Lions, Tigers).

We go early in the day to avoid the crowds that build up. (Then grab lunch nearby).

Service is rough because the quantity of people trying on clothes overwhelms the fitting rooms and staff. But, the clothes are all hung.

Also, the stock turns over quickly. If you like something, it is probably better to purchase it because it probably will not be there next week. Also, not all the sizes...
