Omg! I nearly died when my total was $51 for two Candy Apples and one tiny pecan log a couple of pieces of a couple of small items. No one gave me a receipt at the time instead I got emailed a receipt after I left there which indicated I was charged double the price for the pecan log thus the highly exorbitant amount that didn't add up. Couple of kids working there who apparently had no idea what they were doing. Then let's talk about what we bought. The pecan log was the only thing that was any good in the whole mess. I suspect it's probably not made there. The dark chocolate covered cherries were edible, but the chocolate covered orange was absolutely horrid and tasted like medicine it was so gross. Then to top it all off and add insult to injury, we bought two candied apples which were Granny Smith apples or so it said and cost $8.50 a piece. The apples were so close to rotten it was absolutely gross you've been into the thing and instead of being a Krispy krunchy Apple it was a mushy tasteless disgusting mess. I thought and hoped maybe it was just mine but when my sister tried hers about 20 minutes after me it was absolutely the same thing. So I walked out the door and bit into an apple that was disgusting right after we left there and hers was the same way so obviously the apples were all old and they were exorbitantly overpricing old apples I guess to get rid of them because who the hell would buy it if they knew it was like that. Absolutely do not recommend this place waste of money and you're just going to end up throwing it in the...
Read moreThere were 2 locations of this store within a couple blocks, one was in the very center of town, the other was next to my hotel (the Holiday Inn on Main). I went in both, so I can review both.
You have NEVER tasted such wonderful candy. WOW, I think I sampled everything (they are so friendly and have out samples in the store). I bought the orange/cream fudge (so delicious, reminded me of childhood having an orange and cream ice cream bar from the ice cream man), I had regular fudge (delicious), my friend bought several different chocolate candies, one was a "turtle" that was AMAZING, and I bought a package of pecan brittle (I can't even begin to describe it's deliciousness). I had sampled the peanut brittle and was going to buy it - but the girl behind the counter told me to get the pecan instead, which I did and I was NOT disappointed. The peanut was delicious too, but the pecan was even better!
Prices are crazy cheap. I think my orange fudge was a dollar-something, the brittle was about $7 and the boxes of chocolates were really cheap.
ALL good, all delicious, probably the finest candy / fudge store I have ever been in. As for the pecan brittle, it came in two large pieces, each about the size of a saucer. I had intended to save one for my mother when I came home - ha ha ha - it never made it. Sorry mom.
If you're in Helen, you can't not go here. Trust me. Best. ...

The store is charmingly decorated, with vibrant displays showcasing an impressive array of confections. It felt like stepping into a candy wonderland. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, eager to help and share their knowledge about the different treats available.
I indulged in a variety of sweets, but the standout for me was the homemade fudge. Rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, it was some of the best fudge Iâve ever tasted. The pralines were another highlight â they had just the right amount of crunch and sweetness.
One of the most enjoyable parts of the visit was watching the candy-making process. Seeing the skilled artisans craft these delicious treats with such precision and care added a special touch to the experience. Itâs clear that Hansel & Gretel Candy Kitchen takes great pride in their craft.
