We recently had our daughters 8th birthday party here over this past weekend and it was one for the record books! This was an experience our family will surely never forget! The prices were extremely reasonable, the staff was super helpful, the art teacher was absolutely incredible, and my daughter had the best birthday party she could have hoped for all thanks to the amazing staff and incredible facility that is the artitorium! We reserved the party room for two hours, the staff was super accommodating to the fact that people no longer feel the need to rsvp so planning a party is difficult when trying to determine how many people to accommodate for, they totally understood that and were super helpful in explaining the different options, we also booked a one hour private session with the art teacher which I highly recommend!!! She took the time to find out the interests of the kids as we had a joint birthday party with our daughter and her cousin and specifically design an art project for them based on their interests and took the time to walk them through each step of the process sometimes having to repeat things several times as they are rowdy 8 year olds who are with their friends and excited and she was so patient with them! We also sprung for the grab bags where they create 3-4 take home art projects that your kiddos can do with friends and family as party favors for the kids that came to the party and they were so cute and so worth the extra money! Our kids loved them! If you are or anyone you know is considering a party at the artitorium or have a kiddo who loves art this is the place to go! We will forever visit...
Read moreI’ll start by saying I realize there’s not much to do in this city, especially indoors in the winter with small children.
We brought our toddler, a 1 year old, and preschool aged child and I have to say I was a bit disappointed for the price we paid for admission. We went during toddler time, which involved some fun waffle blocks, sensory bottles and a few other toys geared to small children. There was no organized activity for toddler time (no signings songs, story time etc. like what you may get at a library toddler time).
We lasted about an hour and certainly had exhausted all activities the kids were capable of doing. I think if my children were older and/or interested in lots of “sitting” activities - coloring, making stop motion videos, cutting paper projects, etc. it would have been a better bang for our buck. My children are more of the “run around and climb/make a ruckus” type boys.
The green screen was lots of fun for our 4 year old, and there is the one large slide but I think we were expecting more activities geared to get the wiggles out in the winter and this place fell short.
To sum it up, I don’t regret coming but this is more of a one time thing for us and I won’t be back but only because it didn’t fit the needs of our children’s age...
Read moreFirst off, this is a fun place, and I feel like we are lucky to have a place like this in Idaho Falls. My two sons loved running around and doing all of the different activities that were available. with so many activities available, I'll touch on some that we thought were the most fun and captivated a 3-year-old and a 1.5-year-old. Firstly, the slide. There is a pretty long tube slide that curls its way down. There was quite the drop at the end of it, and they picked up enough speed that we needed to watch and be ready to catch them when they came down. Next, the instruments. We loved playing with the Drums, touchscreen-monitor piano, and the xylophone, but our favorite was the guitar/ukulele that you can check out from the front. Then, that random craft projects we colored and cut-out snakes, butterflies, and flowers. Apparently, they have different themes that they use for the decorations and the crafts. I'm not sure how often it changes. When we went it was jungle themed. They also have a green screen and TV, but my little guys didn't really understand what was going on. The same thing with the stop-motion film cameras. Altogether a really fun experience. The only thing I would ask for would be an annual...
