You have to hope your food will be good when the person leaving as you walk in says, "This is the best restaurant in Idaho Falls". And honestly, Yummy House is definitely in our Top 3. Who knew this place would be such a gem? Yummy House is a great place for good food and conversations. Both your and everyone else's. When we dined in, it was a full house and we could hear everyone around us. Our waitress was very friendly despite the busyness and did a great job making sure no one was left waiting for drink refills. The star of the show was definitely the food. My fiancé and I loved the General Tso's Chicken! It had a great crunch without the chicken itself being dry and the sauce was packed with flavor. My egg flower soup was good — I added a dash of salt and some pepper — but that's how I grew up eating it. The BBQ Pork Hong Kong Chow Mein was yummy too! I love crispy noodles so I order it every chance I get. The pork itself was a tad dry so I'll probably try the House Special version next time. We also ordered beef & broccoli. Which, surprisingly, was our least favorite dish but it was still tasty! The only downside — we tried to dine in last Friday and walked in around 8:30pm and were told the restaurant closed at 8pm. It was such a bummer because the menu and Google Maps said 9:30pm. If you're looking for a place to dine a little later, I'd recommend calling first to verify hours. Compared to the other Chinese restaurants in town, Yummy House takes the cake! I highly recommend checking it out.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - Beef Brisket in Clay Pot (B11) was great in flavoring and texture for the beef. The sauce was thicker than expected but good nonetheless. Unfortunately had a piece of plastic in the dish Hong Kong Style Seafood Chow Mein (soft noodles) was good. The noodle itself is dry so you do have to mix the sauce in which was slightly difficult with a full plate. Generous with the calamari but only 3 pieces of scallops Young Zhou Fried Rice was great. Slightly more salty and wished there were slightly more pork pieces but the fried egg was done well Ambience: 4/5 - well air conditioned. Rustic feel with warm lighting and some traditional decoration. The wall is vinyl bricks and you can notice the edges since it's not uniformed Service: 5/5 - understaff with only one worker who runs around trying to help everyone. She's taking orders, serving food, getting checks and to go box. Super friendly but pretty loud Value for price: 4/5 - pricey for some of the dishes but good food overall

Yummy House has been in Idaho Falls for quite some time, and the food there has always been awesome. I have never had something off of their menu that I didn't like. Their Mongolian beef, General Tsao's chicken, broccoli beef, tiny spicy chicken, and cashew chicken have all been amazing. I could go on and on, speaking of which, try the chicken wings, they are out of this world.

Tonight we came for my birthday, it was busy, which is always a good sign of a restaurant. The staff are constantly running from one end of the restaurant to the other. When we arrived, within about 5 minutes, we were one of 3 parties of 5 or more. We expected a wait, and it wasn't too long before our food was coming out. Everything was piping hot and extremely delicious, I had a combo dinner with fried rice, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, a spring roll, and 3 fried shrimp. My oldest son also had it. My wife had a combo dinner with General Tsao chicken, sweet and sour pork, fried shrimp, fried rice, and a spring roll. My mom and nephew had the combo dinner with Kung pao chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried shrimp, and fried rice. Lastly, our 2 younger boys chose from the lunch menu for dinner. Our 10 year old had broccoli beef with lo mein noodles, which also comes with soup and 2 crab rangoon, and our youngest had sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, soup, and crab rangoon. The food couldn't have been better, and we will happily be returning before long. Our kids have guaranteed that fact.

I wish i had taken pictures, but the food was so good, it got eaten before...

Yummy House has amazing tasting food, the portions are great, and prices are fair. This was one of my favorite restaurants. Wanting to share my experience, I told my mom how great the place was and how friendly the lady there was and we decided to go for lunch. My mom has a very picky 5 year old son. He wanted chow mein from Panda Express. We couldn't talk him out of it. We don't ordinarily do this, but we got him a small carton and went to Yummy House. We ordered the Family Dinner for two and two drinks. Upon placing our order we noticed she had a bad attitude with us. We sort of talked it over and figured maybe it was because we brought in a small carton of outside food, especially because she went to the back and we could see her talking to her husband as they kept looking in our direction. Sure enough when she came back, she told us it wasn't allowed. We apologized and told her he was just very picky. We understood her point of view but at the same time felt an exception should be made for a small child. We could definately understand if it was someone older or if it had been adults, but it was a little kid and we always give her buisness. Either way we didn't deserve to be treated the way we did. She treated us with a poor attitude almost the entire time giving dirty looks, slamming our plates down, spilling a some our drink on our table and not wiping it up. My mom's first experience wasn't good and honestly we didn't enjoy our food because we were both very bothered. I'm not sure our family will come back again, as we felt...
