What could have been a routine pizza pick up the night of 6/19 was completely overshadowed by an unbelievably rude worker. I showed up to pick up my pizza only to have the young man state that we’re very early in an abrasive tone, and “we’re lucky he had it made already.” I let it go thinking we’d be gone soon. In an effort to try and clear up any confusion, I pulled up my order on my phone, took a half step towards the kitchen area, and showed him what I was seeing. Expecting a normal, cordial response, instead I received, “I don’t care. Get out of my kitchen!” It was such a toxic tone, that I asked if he treated all his customers this way, and he replied with “only those with something to prove.” I was simply trying to ease the tension and get back to normal, human interactions. After a painstaking wait to get our pizza, it ripped coming out of the oven. Purposeful or not, he stormed over and said “your pizza ripped and it’ll be another 20 minutes.” Anger, annoyance, and zero empathy is what he showed. There wasn’t a single positive or friendly word that came out of his mouth. At best, he could be called a terrible employee that has no business working in customer service. At worst, he’s a severe liability to himself and the company. If the multitude of abhorrent comments were said to another person, this could have easily escalated to a physical altercation. We finally got our pizza after waiting for 35 minutes. It takes 7 minutes to cook a pizza as I was harshly told. The pizza had good flavor, but was definitely undercooked. I would recommend staying away from this restaurant until they figure out their hiring process. There isn’t a restaurant on Earth with food good enough to put up with combative remarks. There are no excuses that can be made. After reading other reviews, it seems like I wasn’t the only one to...
Read moreI love the pizza here, so that’s why they get five stars, but I’m writing a review to explain my frustrations towards last night. The performer from last night gets zero stars.
Context: I worked a ten hour shift and was invited to see a singer called Kimberly Campbell that was supposed to be performing from 7-9 pm. I convinced my boyfriend to come with me and he had been working all day too. I spent $10 on food and a pop and there was no where to sit. Seven rolls around and the performer was there but then disappeared. Around 7:30 pm I get fed up and decide to leave. Low and behold she’s standing in front of a bar with her friends and goes into that bar instead of performing at the Pie Hole like she was advertised to do. I heard it was her birthday, but I’m a performer myself and her performance was supposed to start at 7:00 pm (in other words, I understand the whole “show must go on”, mentality). People showed up for her and she didn’t seem to care. I’m the type that doesn’t normally go to events in the first place. I definitely won’t make plans to go to any events at the Pie Hole because of what happened last night. A huge waste of my time and my boyfriends time
UPDATE: Upon further research of their Facebook page, it says “she will play if she ‘wants to’”, but that wasn’t properly explained to me by the owner when I was invited to the event.
Also, at the bottom of the poster it said “It’s my birthday, and I’ll play if I want to.” Well… it turned out she DIDN’T want to. Total waste of both of our time. Very flakey event and performer. I will not be attending any of her performances in the future. ALSO, if you’re gonna use your birthday as an excuse well guess what?! It was my boyfriends birthday the next day and I thought it would be fun to take him to see some live music. So, don’t even use that as an excuse to...
Read moreI have been a pizza restaurant manager for the last 5 years, so i definitely came in with high expectations. Disclaimer said, here is what i thought about each component in order of priority (in my opinion): Customer service - excellent. The employee working the counter knew what she was talking about and was polite and helpful. Times - good if you’re getting a slice. Not so good otherwise. The kitchen was pretty low on orders but when i asked about times to get a full pizza i was told “up to 45 minutes”. I asked if it usually took the 45 and i was told it almost never does but that is what they are required to quote. Im fine with high wait times but i would not be fine if i left to run errands for 45 minutes and got back to a cold pizza that had been ready a half hour early. Accurate quoting is essential! Toppings - good tasting but absolutely terrible spread and very low quantity (other than pepperoni). 3 separate slices and not a single one was topped to the edge. 2-3 inches from the crust were left completely clear of toppings. Very disappointing. Crust - very good. Im picky about my crust and i loved it. It was thin and cooked just right. Sauce - marinara was average, alfredo was good, ranch was pretty bad. Barely any on the pizzas though. Thin crust does go with light sauce but it was way lighter than normal thin crust gets. Cheese - plenty of cheese and well spread.
Price - slightly high end but decent. About $4 per slice and i needed 4 to be comfortably satisfied. Environment - pretty bad. Very loud...
