Not sure what's happening here but have enjoyed coming here since early 2009. Moved away a few years ago but have always made it a point of gathering with a large group of friends every visit back. This past weekend, came there on Saturday with a dozen or so people of which at least half ordered food with their coffee. Service was okay, coffee was served IN house in paper cups. What!?! Why!?! We did not expect this in the Cafe. We could have gone through a drive through for that. Breakfast was good though. Came back on Sunday with a dozen or so people again. When we pulled an additional table over to accommodate the large group of which again at least half were ordering food along with their coffee, a server came and told us we couldn't move tables. We returned the table and had all of us squished around a table meant for 6-8. Again the coffee was served in paper cups, was barely warm, and the bagel on the Don Diego was so hard it was like eating croutons. But the icing on the cake was the horribly rude service we received from the young lady when a few of us went up to order another cup of coffee and requested it to be extra hot as the coffee didn't seem to be getting served hot that morning. She collected payment, turned the iPad around to request a tip, then proceeds to start the cup of coffee while rudely telling me I could go sit down as she would bring it out to me, while I was in the middle of a conversation at the counter with someone else, as though she was dismissing me from her space. Sad to see things going...
Read moreI just read the previously posted reviews of the Villa Coffeehouse. And that is when I realized that I have never given a Review of this Wonderful Little Coffeehouse located in Downtown Idaho Falls, Idaho. If you like Friendly, Enjoyable Environments to have some coffee and or a sandwich, and where everyone knows your name and what you drink, just like the T.V program Cheer's", then you need to go to The Villa Coffeehouse, and feel like you have arrived! The Environment reminds me of the Highly Over Priced Coffee Shops in Los Angeles, CA., but with much lower prices, better tasting Coffee and Sandwiches, and nicer people. I have been coming to this wonderful Little Coffeehouse for quite a number of years now, and I have never had a bad experience or been mistreated, or looked down upon, just because I am in a Power Wheelchair. In fact, it is the only Coffeehouse in Idaho Falls, Idaho, who won't roll their eyes at me, when they see me coming in. I can come in, order a cup of coffee, use their WIFI, read a book, meet with friends, or just sit there and Crochet, while watching all of the different people come and go. When Weather permits, I enjoy going outside, and sit at one of their tables, while I am enjoying my coffee, while I...
Read moreDo not go! I have been many times and it gets worse. They used to be great. One time I ordered food and waited as there was no line, and I waited and waited and after half an hour I asked the waitress and she had forgotten to get the soup from the kitchen, and it took about an hour! Another few times I ordered specialty coffee drinks and they were gross and poorly made. Other times I give my money as a customer, I noticed the waitress charged me about $.70 cents more over the tax amount and I asked her what r u doing? She claimed laughing "the cashier machine just charges more than the menu and I can't do anything about it." .... Another time I was a customer and the waitress was rude to me, and when I walked away she commented to another patron behind my back and insulted me, and she continued to talk about me and other things to this patron who had cut in line just to talk with her ! and she didn't attend to the patrons! I can't believe how rude they are, the owners are usually there too, and the staff are running off with about .70 cents per order and if you add that all up from them doing that to all customers, that waitress and company will be making bank! Some waitresses are nice, good customer service and some have...
