Love this place! I've only been a few times but the times I've gone and floated, stress melted away that I didn't even know I had. I've also gone when I threw out my back and it was super helpful. I had to be careful getting in and out of the tank but it was worth it because afterwards my back was significantly better and I could walk around with little to no pain. By the next day (with acupuncture and floating at om.life) I was almost back to normal. I also felt rejuvenated and well rested after floating, almost like I had caught up on weeks of sleep deprivation. I did fall asleep for parts or all of the float but not long enough for that to be the reason...
Tbh - At first I was nervous because i don't like to sit still, have a hard time being alone with my thoughts for longer than a 10 min meditation, and I'm a bit claustrophobic, but once I got there none of those things were issues. I did the larger float tank at first (I think it's called the suite?) which helped to get over my nerves about the dark and small space. It felt very large and spacious! it's like a little room with a nice high ceiling so that helped a lot. And you can leave little starry night lights and relaxing sounds on. eventually I turned off both and had a nice little nap at some point. And the last time I went I was in a pod and actually liked the smaller space too.
They also have floating things to rest your head and knees on so that helped me have peace of mind for any fear of my face going under water while sleeping (not that you could.. the Salt makes you float but I was just nervous about being asleep in the water. Which was totally fine and I was happy about when I woke up :) )
The other plus(es) are that the entire facility is beautiful and clean, staff is super friendly and helpful, and it's clear that the owner - Anand - really cares about each client having a great experience. (My husband said they had great conversations after his float even after his first visit when they hadn't met before.)
I haven't done Cryo yet but I did do the normatec on my hips and quads and my hip felt great after. it had been very tight before doing the normatec so this was very helpful.

Read moreTo be honest, I was never a wellness spa type of person - I usually just work hard, do what I gotta do, deal with the stress internally and carry on to the next day. After learning much about this unique spa in Jersey City (I live a few blocks away from their location), I decided to finally give it a shot. Stress levels were through the roof and taking a toll on my body. Cryotherapy was my first choice. I left thinking, “Wow, that was cold but did it do anything?”... An hour later, I saw a flush come back into my face. More energy and simply better. Both mentally and physically. I could NOT believe it. The rest of the evening and the day following, I felt like a million bucks and became a believer in the science and technology behind omlife’s services. Their philosophy rocks, their staff is super cool and most importantly, results were there and very evident. Going for their Float and Normatec next!
UPDATE: posted 03/01/2020
I recently went back to omlife for a float with my boyfriend for the very first time. I heard so much about it from various people I network with but you won’t truly understand how awesome it is until you try it for yourself. The zero gravity weightlessness really helped with the aches and pains that accompany my stressful lifestyle and being in a zero external stimulation environment allowed (more like forced) my brain to take a break. I dimmed the lights all the way down in my pod, turned off the music and just.... was. I never experienced a feeling like that before... almost as if I was floating in outer space, in pure black nothingness.... and it was nothing short of blissful. I passed out 20 minutes in and got out feeling relaxed and renewed. Need this more in my life. The boyfriend loved it also and said he would want to do it again and he’s a tough crowd! We’ll be back with friends and family - everyone needs to schedule a little of this in their lives! Thank you Om Life for making Jersey City a better place by...
Read moreTo be fair, the floatation therapy and cryotherapy is helpful. The low rating is attributed to the misinformation that has been given by a staff member. I was interested in purchasing their Kangen filters. I was quoted a price, after which I decided to try their Kangen water for a few days. I honestly felt it worked for me. After trying it for a few days, I went to talk to the staff that I wanted to purchase the device. He later mentioned that he made a mistake with the price- SiX days after I tried the water and was convinced of its efficacy. I told him that I found what he did to be misinformation. I felt I was led on. That was totally unprofessional on his part. In addition, I found that the information about the product is not standard. For someone selling an expensive product (around $2000), he did not appear to be well versed about the product. He told me that the information I found on a website was misinformation (after he gave me misinformation days earlier about the product). So who do I believe? If he can misquote a price (plus I have talked to him several days after the he quoted the price), why should I believe him with his claim that other websites were giving misinformation. He was the one who gave me the false price. When I was about to buy the product after careful thought, he told me he made a mistake.Talk about misinformation! Caveat: Enjoy the facilities, but I am highly skeptical now about the information that this facility is giving. For the price customers pay for their services, veracity of information should be their utmost concern.
Update: I have purchased a Kangen water filter from a distributor with good reviews. I have also contacted a company that provides cryotherapy and floatation services. I am paying premium prices and, hopefully, I get premium, professional service from other companies.
Again your penchant for inserting self-promotion in your apology...
