I just attended my third Chicago Chive meet up at Joe's Live Rosemont and it was by far my worst experience I've ever had at an event that I've always had the best time of my life at. One of the bartender's was so incredibly rude and walked past me 10 times while I waited patiently for 10 minutes to get my cup filled up before they cut off our wristbands at 10pm. I feel he did this on purpose so I would then have to purchase a drink. I explained to him nicely how long I had waited there and his response was "not my rules." I let it go, asked him to get me a bud light and he took my cup that I wanted to take home for a keepsake and threw it away. He brings back a beer and says "we are out of Bud Light, you will have to settle for Coors light." Who does that? If you ordered a cheeseburger from your waiter and they brought you a pizza back instead of asking what you would like instead, would that go over well with you? Last time I checked the customer is usually right and your first priority when serving them. But I want to thank one of the female bartenders for digging my cup out of the garbage can so I could save it. She earned herself a $5 tip for doing nothing more than being a decent person. First impressions are everything and I will never set foot in this...
Read moreThe staff was outstanding. I needed ADA seating. Unfortunately for me, on the night I was attending a Russell Dickerson concert, they had graciously reserved the ADA section for a special needs group. I was somewhat uncomfortable standing near the bar with my two canes. Bob, one of the managers came over discussed the issue with me and assured me that I would be taken care of. Low and behold he was a man of his word, as the staff then catered to my needs and placed my wife and I in a premium spot where I was totally comfortable.
I went from somewhat annoyed, to more than satisfied. The entire night both the crowd and the staff were great. I did not get a chance to personally thank Bob and his staff for their efforts to ensure that I was happy as it was quite crowded and we had t boogie quickly.
I hope that this review finds it's way to management so that they know that they solidified this customer to continue to be a patron at this venue. Looking forward to...
Read moreBest spot in the suburbs for Nightlife! Been here multiple times. My favorite show was when I seen Warren G. The spot does everything that the other suburban venues don't. You can catch the best bands here, and they host a variety of bands from different genres of music. It's also right outside the airport and in an entertainment strip, so you can bar hop or visit other nightclubs as well. My favorite spot in the suburbs used to be The House of Music and Entertainment in Arlington Heights until they stop playing Hip Hop, and they do that for obvious reasons. I don't want to be in a nightclub/bar with only people twice my age or a place with zero diversity playing music from the 1950s. You won't have that problem at Joe's Live. The other suburban nightclubs/bars need to take notes from Joe's Live and adjust to the 21st century. That's why Joe's Live's event will sell out everything, and the the venues will stay empty to...
