Brew Fitness is an incredible all-around gym, and Milwaukee is better because of it ! I am an out-of-state college student, and Iāve been going to Brew whenever Iām in town ever since they first opened. Itās been amazing to see the growth of the gym over the years under the leadership of Ryan, their amazing owner. Ryan creates an inclusive environment where anyone can come in to get great workouts in and better themselves through exercise. I also appreciate how Ryan partners with other local businesses, giving the gym a true Milwaukee feel. The wide-range of class offerings means that there is something for everybody, and I love all of the classes offered. The classes are challenging, motivating, and enjoyable, pushing those involved to improve every day. Additionally, exercises constantly change, and I always enjoy being surprised with a new challenge. Many classes are even offered over zoom at this time, allowing clients to get a great workout from the comfort of their homes. When Iām back at school Iāll definitely be taking as many zoom classes as I can, and will be able to stay in shape because of them! The strength instructors are fantastic- Ryan, Alex, Savannah, and Jake. Itās been amazing working with all of them and they are fitness experts! Aside from group classes, Iāve done open gym workouts and 1-1 personal training at Brew. These have been great options and allowed me to challenge myself independently with the exercises Iāve learned in the classes! I also wanted to mention how safe I feel when working out at Brew during COVID-19. The gymās health and safety policies ensure a clean environment where all clients are protected while still getting great workouts in. I am so thankful for Brew Fitness and I know their other clients are too. Iāve been going to Brew every day while at home during my winter break from college, and as a result, my overall fitness, strength, mental health, and confidence have improved substantially. From the moment I started going to this gym, I felt a strong sense of community with the other members and staff. The members of the Brew Fitness team make every interaction comfortable, fun, and they take the time to get to know their members on a personal level!
The classes are great and put together with everyone's physical fitness level in mind. Ryan and his team put together workouts that will push you, but only as far as you feel comfortable enough to go. They are always coaching proper form and safety throughout the classes and emphasize cool downs with stretching after the main class has concluded.
I have also been involved in the personal training that Brew offers and each trainer I have worked with, has helped me to identify different aspects of exercising that I have now built into my daily routines. They adapt to your overall goals and as those change so does the structure of the personal training!
Brew Fitness also runs GREAT events throughout the year that encourage you to step outside of your normal routines and set goals that will hold you accountable, as your work towards your best self physically!

I had doubts about the way group workouts would operate, the cost commitment, my potential lack of skill compared to other members, and whether I would be seen as an outsider in an already established culture and community, among other concerns. There were a myriad of reasons I could have convinced myself to not join, as I was typically accustomed to plugging in my headphones, mindlessly working out at a commercial gym avoiding interaction and relying on internet and social media searches for routines (needless to say, this did not work though it was a decent start).
After completing a 10-day free trial, my initial concerns dissipated and I decided to make a commitment to Brew Fitness as well as myself. The accommodating trainers, challenging yet accessible workouts, engaging atmosphere, and friendly people all contributed (and continue to contribute) to my positive experience. Since switching from a commercial gym to Brew almost six months ago, I have made physical progress and gained newfound self-confidence. The commitment I made to Brew Fitness has extended beyond my workouts and positively impacted my everyday life, inspiring me to adopt healthier habits and greater consistency.
