I understand Too Good To Go is an app that is supposed to minimize waste, but I dropped $15 (for a $45 value) for a ā€œmini cakeā€ that was made from scraps. This was an attempt to profit off of leftover ingredients & lazy creativity. I wouldn’t pay $15 regular price for this. I’m sorely disappointed in this business. I wish I opened this box before I left the area, because I easily would have paid the same amount for an actually presentable mini cake from Ladybird Bakery, just a 20min walk nearby. And the embarrassment of wanting to bring this as a supplement for a bridesmaids morning on a wedding day! You can say that’s why I’m extra upset about this. Small businesses work hard, but this scam was sleazy. I’m sorry, but give your hard-earned money to an honest business. P.S. You know what makes this worse? The cake isn’t frosted. So it’ll dry out faster, if it isn’t already. Jfc.

This location is mostly dedicated for picking up made-to-order cakes for all occasions. My husband & I stopped in to try some cupcakes and were both impressed. There were quite a few cupcakes, bars & cookies on display with even gluten-free & vegan options. I ordered a Strawberry Shortcake cupcake & my husband tried the Coconut Cream Pie Cupcake. Both were heavier than others we’ve had in the past but very delicious. Mine satisfied my strawberry jam craving though it was quite sweet. My husband’s coconut cream pie cupcake was super delicious. Also, they do offer a punching card to use with every purchase for a free treat šŸ§šŸŖ Note: Keep in mind, this location is mainly a baking facility so there are no drinks to order, no seating/tables & no bathroom.

We just had our 8 year old's birthday party at their beautiful new Gowanus location and it was a wonderful experience! Owner Katy made the planning super easy. For the party itself, the kids first decorated their own chef hats before Katy and her team expertly led the kids through the process of baking cupcakes, making icing, and decorating according to our chosen theme (animals!). It was cool that the table/classroom area was in the main kitchen itself. I was impressed at how well their team kept our group of 7 and 8 year olds engaged in the class, and they all seemed happy to take home cupcakes as their party favors. It was one of smoothest and most enjoyable birthday parties we've hosted, and would highly recommend!
