LVG Salsa Social NYC — Attraction in New York

When I say that LVG is (and has been for a long while) the best social in town I know I am only echoing a fact and not an opinion. LVG IS THE BEST place to be for Salsa. I go to many different socials, I love them all, I love dancing and all are fun for their own reasons, but I can confidently state that DJ La Conga is unique and incomparable. He feels the room, he connects to its energy and works off it. Antonio's repertoire has a mix of classics, vintage, modern, contemporary and more, always bringing new material introducing new music each time. I actually purchased a CD he created from his rich collection of Vinyl I often listen to and hope he creates more in the future. I do love LVG - a personal recharge from a long week - I do anticipate every other Sunday knowing that no matter what happens during the week, there will be LVG that week. No Oscars, no Super Bowls, no World Soccer final, no major Sunday night event has ever stopped the many LVG loyalists from sweating the week away and leaving it all to the dance floor. Again I know I am not alone feeling this way, LVG is the best and it quickly becomes familiar to newcomers and soon it feels like a family. Besides the many friends I made and regularly see because of this bi-weekly appointment I am fond of the entire crew. Tony at the door making sure all is in order, Veronica at the desk processing it all quickly even during surges when people keep coming all at once, Joel always ready to lead a fantastic dance with the ladies, while immortalizing it all with videos and pictures at the same time, which I love seeing when posted. If you're looking for a great place to salsa dance and make new friends, LVG is indeed a place you want to come experience for yourself. Incredible instruction, Accessible learning, Approachable Teachers, Supportive Classmates, Welcoming Environment at whatever state of one's salsa development! I return often to Joel and Maria, and each time I grow in my own skill development and with a community of dancers that makes me feel like home!

I went to this social for the first time four weeks ago. I have been dancing at various socials in New York City for many years. This social has some of the best dancers of all the others that I attend. There is also ample room and a great floor with good action. I danced all night non stop. I am a professional dancer and tv/film actress and I was able to maximize my dance experience with excellent dance partners....
