I would like to commend Paul at the Service Center at Flushing #7 Main Street Station.
At approximately 3:30 PM on July 23rd, I was at the Service Center, Flushing Main Street #7 train station, when I witnessed Paul providing exceptional assistance to passengers. I was deeply moved by the way he patiently and respectfully helped an elderly woman in a mobile chair. After assisting her, she asked if he could place her belongings on the chair so she could proceed through the gate. Paul carefully ensured everything was secure before she continued on her way.
Immediately afterward, Paul assisted a senior gentleman in obtaining a senior OMNY card. Once the card was issued, Paul asked if he needed help loading funds onto it. He then walked the gentleman over to the vending machine and guided him through the process of adding money to the card.
Witnessing these thoughtful and caring acts truly touched me. I approached Paul to tell him how much I appreciated his kindness. He humbly responded, “It’s my job.” While that may be true, I’ve often seen similar situations where other staff members fall short. I want to ensure Paul’s dedication and compassion do not go unnoticed.
