Very rarely do I provide reviews. However, I noticed an ongoing theme at McNally Jackson book stores (Downtown Brooklyn and Williamsburg) pushing what many would perceive as a one sided anti-semitic narrative on geopolitics.
I checked the reviews to confirm if I was the only one identifying this. Lo and behold there seems to be a few others with a similar consensus.
The store seems to unapologetically promote these views in their āmost popularā section (sadly, I guess that sells these days?).
Itās shame, because in the past I was proud to support this independent book store.
I hope in the future they can move from showing favoritism with their political opinions front and center.

Went upstairs to the history and politics section hoping to find some titles explaining Israelās history/side of the conflict (ie some balance). Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis store surprises you with its size and its sense of wonder! The bookcases on the first floor act like a maze and you find yourself getting lost in the book titles. They have a wide variety of book selections and they also have stationary downstairs and games upstairs. There are benches and chairs placed intermittently throughout the space and in the upstairs section there is a table and window seating (all of which could be used for reading or studying).
