Good products, but do not order deliveries! I recently had the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I ordered a delivery online. The confirmation email stated that the groceries would be delivered on the expected day between 10 AM and noon. I had to prepare several of the things, set things out for guests, etc, who were coming at 2 PM. On the day of the delivery, I got a call in the morning confirming the delivery, and asking about the quantity of one of the items. All seemed well. Then noon passed. 1 PM passed. I started to worry a lot. I called the store, and they claimed there was no such delivery order! I know they had it, as I confirmed the correct address, I went over the confirmation email with the person on the phone, etc, but they still denied that it was "real". I went into the store and discussed with the manager, who also confirmed the address of the store, and everything else, but said he couldn't find the order, and it didn't exist. He was unwilling to help in any way, and said if I wanted to, I could just walk around myself and buy what I needed. That's it. What choice did I have? I started to do so, when I got a call from my home - the delivery had finally arrived (minutes before my first guests). And the manager refused to give me his name. Oh, and more than one item was missing from the order. Pretty...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a great store with a good variety of items. They have a great selection of imported and artisanal cheeses but they are a bit pricey. Look for the specials and you can usually find a good deal. The hot foods are fabulous. This is a great place to find a hot meal that you could take home. The selection and Variety in this store is really good but they do not have weekly ads so forget about it shopping on a weekly basis to pick up the sales and specials. You have to hunt for the sales they don't advertise. The store is always clean they are always stocking and there's always somebody on the floor to give you some help if you need it. West Side Market was always great store but they always had higher than average prices. However post covid, their prices have skyrocketed and I noticed that they are not as busy as they used to be. They still have the same great variety, but like everywhere else prices are higher and it must be affecting their business. I would guess to say they increase their prices of minimum of 30% after covid and some things even doubled. Before covid there were always long lines but the past few times I've been in there hasn't been any lines at all. I will say if you are single and do not cook this is a great place to buy prepared foods and meals to get you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI like this market a lot. To me this is the best Westside Market NYC and is, specifically, significantly better than the one on 110th.
āWhich is ironic because the Westside Market NYC on 110th is the original location of the chain, established right here on the UWS in 1977. The same family still runs the business today. They have 7 locations across Manhattan now.
I think this might be the best one. The prices are slightly lower at this one than the one on 110th or the ones downtown. And this one doesnāt carry exactly the same products, some are unique to this location. Many products are overpriced but many others offer unexpectedly good value for cost. Keep a keen eye and youāll see what I mean.
As with all Westside Market NYC stores, the breadth and variety of prepared deli foods on offer is impressive. Thereās also a hot food counter, cold food counter, self-serve hot beverages counter, large baked goods section and fresh produce section. Itās a great store. This Westside Market NYC (on 98th) and Fairway Market are what I would consider to be the best markets on the UWS.
On top of all of the above, itās also open 24 hours š.
*Thereās also the Key Foods on 96th & Barziniās open 24/7 in the area. I think Westside Market NYC is...
