i was the first time to Oklahoma City and wanted to check out the local attractions and top TripAdvisor 'Things to Do'. I've never been to a Banjo museum so thought I would give it a shot! Stopped by and loved it. The lady who took our money for the tickets was awesome; always had a smile and gave us a quick overview of the museum when we stated we had not been there before. We then walked through the initial part which was a self-guided tour, and then saw two floors of 100+ banjos, with each banjo having it's own unique story. If you're a big time Banjo enthusiast, you could spend 3+ hours there; but for the average person who has a peak of curiosity, 1 to 1-1/2 hours should...

The facility is in excellent shape, the quality of the displays is top-notch, and the narrative they present of the banjo (from African origins to the present) is both honest and tastefully presented.
