Read moreI booked a table through open table for lunch to celebrate my birthday, I did select birthday under “What’s the occasion?” There was no recognition of my birthday nor were we asked if we were celebrating anything, but that is not a big deal. The restaurant was nice, had nice décor, plenty of seating option including outside dining. We ordered the chow calamari for our starter. The flavor of the calamari was good, but all the breading was falling off. The yuzu aioli was tasty and the sweet thai chile had good flavor but was a little on the spicy side. We both had the 7oz filet that was cooked to our preference and was the best part of our meal. We order a side of sweet onion and brown sugar honey sauce. The brown sugar honey was my favorite. For the sides, we got pomme aligoté (cheesy mash potatoes) and mac and cheese. I asked our waitress what kind of cheese is the potatoes and she did not know, she just knew it was not cheddar. Once we got our food, I did not like the flavor of the cheese that was in the potatoes and the mac and cheese did not have any flavor at all. We sent the sides back and just got the pomme frites (hand cut French fries.) The fries were fine, but we were not a fan of the smoked paprika aioli. Chase (the manager) came by and checked on us and we told him about the side dishes. He said he would have them removed from our check, but those items came with our meal, so I am not sure what he was going to remove. We are not the type of people that ask for a discount on our meal just as long as you rectify the situation. Our waitress was already taking care of switching out our side dish. Crystal did a great job for being the only server on duty at the time. Obviously, everyone taste palate is different and this was just...
Read moreDear Owner, I wish I could rate this place based on the food, but I have not been given an opportunity to try it. Let me explain, I called to ask regarding a private dinning for an anniversary dinner. The first person that picked up the phone was very professional and kind, he transferred me to the Manager to get more information. While speaking to the Manager, and explaining to her, I was looking to reserve the private dining for an anniversary dinner for about 19 guests. She explained the requirements and the charges that comes with the room. Everything sounded good to me. She then told me another party has reserved the private dining room for that day, but they have a partition, and they could accommodate our party and we will have privacy. So far so good!!! ALL OF THE SUDDEN, without an explanation She tells me "I will have to check with my GM and see if we can accommodate your party" I said, "OK" and She then added the reason was the # of people we have, even though she was ok with that number earlier in the conversation!!! I then told her that the number might change, it might be 14, since we don't have everyone confirmed yet. So, I asked, if I can call tomorrow and follow up with her, after she speaks to her GM. THEN-, she tells me " Don't call us, we will call you tomorrow to let you know" I said " ok" But I knew she was not going to call me!!! And She DID NOT call me back!!!! It's very disappointing because, not only is it unprofessional, but very demeaning to know, our business is not that important to an establishment!
I am adding this- because she called me now!! I am choosing to keep my post because of the conversation I just had with her. I still don't feel it was professional. VERY...
