My husband booked Bob’s for our anniversary, and everything started off great. We’ve dined at the Barton Creek location in Austin, TX, so we came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short. Our server, Jeff, was okay but seemed low-energy. I started with a wedge salad, which was fantastic, so I was hopeful for the rest of the meal. Then came the issue. I ordered a 14 oz Ribeye cooked medium-well, while my husband chose the 16 oz Ribeye medium. My steak came out medium-rare—not once, not twice, but three times. The first steak was full of fat and gristle, looking more like a discount cut from Sam’s Club than a $68 steak. It was stringy, unpleasant, and nearly impossible to cut without hitting weird tendons. I requested a replacement, which they provided, but it lacked seasoning and was poorly presented. The difference between this Oklahoma City location and the Barton Creek location was night and day in terms of taste and presentation. They barely acknowledged our anniversary, which was disappointing given the occasion. While they did offer a new side, they didn’t comp anything or attempt to make up for the poor experience. I still left a 20% tip out of courtesy, but the service and food was mediocre at best. Overall, this experience was truly disappointing, and we won’t be returning to this location.

My husband and I tried Bob's for dinner on a Friday and were pleased. Our waiter was RJ and he was really great! He was very helpful in explaining the pickles which are a must try, and other dishes that we might like. The experience was a good one, from the pickles and bread to the shrimp platter appetizer, to our steak, and pork chop, the food, the service and the atmosphere was good. The cucumbers in the jar were so good! They reminded me of what my mom used to make. We started with the shrimp platter and the shrimp were huge and very flavorful! It was tough to come up with a favorite one for me, but my husband loved the fried the best. All 3 are amazing and it was the perfect size for us to share. My husband got the pork chop and it was so good and cooked perfectly. The applesauce was so good. I got the ribeye and it was also cooked just the way that I wanted and it was so good. The carrot and baked potato were good and the toppings for the potato are plentiful. The prices are fair for what you get. My only suggestion would be that they offer a smaller cut of steak for those of us that don't eat as much. I ended up taking more than half of my steak home. Just a suggestion. We highly recommend them and will be back!

If you ever wanted to waste money, time and have a horrible dinner date before attending an OKC Thunder game, Bob's Steak and Chop House is the place to be. Allow me to shed light on my experience as I've done on several other platforms, directly with management both in person and by phone. We informed our server prior to ordering that we had tickets to the game and wanted to enjoy a nice meal prior to attending. My brother plays basketball for the Brooklyn Nets so not only was this evening important for quality time, we were also showing our support and enjoying family time as well. Our menu selections were as follows: lobster bisque, crab cake appetizer, two 9 oz filets, a paloma and a cosmo.

The steak was extremely dry, too salty to enjoy and was nowhere near the value in which it was priced at. I'm not sure what was going on with their kitchen or chef but it definitely ruined our excitement and was money and time wasted. I expressed my sentiments and displeasure with the young lady that waited on our table and she later sent over a manager to inquire about our experience. I provided the same feedback.

The gentleman asked if we would like to have our steaks recooked which I felt was not a realistic or appropriate suggestion as we made it clear that we had tickets for the game that evening. He followed up by offering dessert but who wants dessert when you can't even enjoy your meal? We declined both and after thanking us for being honest about our dining experience, he then says "Feel free to drop in after the game for a complimentary cocktail." That was complete BS if you ask me because by the time we made it back to the hotel after the game, your restaurant.

I shared my displeasure with the front desk upon checking out yesterday when they inquired about my stay. The lady collected some of my information and told me that I would be hearing back from someone at Bob's to "make it right" because that is not the impression you all like to make with your guests. I made sure to leave an honest review that same evening on Open Table, Yelp and their Facebook page because no one should have to spend hundreds of dollars on bad food with zero resolution and lastly I made sure my brother and his teammates know that whenever they come to OKC to compete that they are better off spending their money and time elsewhere.

I sent an email directly to the General Manager and even spoke with her (Brooke) by phone. Imagine planning a dinner date, neither party enjoying or being able to consume their meal, paying the tab, giving feedback and having the manager on duty ask what you feel should have been done. It gets better. She then proceeds to tell me that she received my email, read my reviews, was overwhelmed, was short staffed, in meetings and would get back to me when she had time but was curious to know if in the event that my purchase was refunded if the reviews would remain?

My response to her was that they most certainly would and you know why they'd remain? The experience was upsetting, a waste of money and a disappointment. A guest of a "fine steakhouse" should not have be questioned on what they felt would have rectified a poor dining experience with lousy, salty, overcooked food. It has now been a week and I have still yet to receive my return phone call or any effort of attempt to reconcile the matter. I saw another VIP member such as myself on Open Table left a similar review last week and stated that management adjusted their bill. I've heard the Dallas location is outstanding but the OKC site flat out sucked. Definitely regret opting for convenience and eating onsite versus going to Red Prime...

I usually don’t like negative reviews because I believe everyone has off days or deserves a chance for redemption. However, my experience at Bob’s last night was an exception. I have grown up in the restaurant industry and have been a server and bartender for almost 10 years. I have never in my entire life been treated the way I was last night. We called a little late during the week and they stated they did not have reservations left, totally our bad. However, they told us if we show up in the lounge at 4:30 we can push two tables together. We have done this before several times in the past. Two people in our party showed up about 5 minutes before the rest of us did and tried to do just that and were told that was not allowed, so they just sat at two tables until we showed up. 5 minutes later the rest of our party shows up and the manager was very quick to be aggressive with saying that if we don’t sit down right now she is taking our tables away. She also stated again that we could absolutely not push the tables together. Again, we should have got there all together that is our bad but she did not have to immediately be defensive when we showed up. The rest of our meal was followed by the general manager staring and pointing at us the whole time, it was incredibly uncomfortable. Just because we did not get a reservation does not mean our money does not spend the same. We sat down at our separate tables and were just going to roll with the punches. Our service we received still is confusing to me, one of our tables (men only) got treated like kings and the other (women only) had the worst service imaginable. We truly had better service just from the food and drink runners than our actual server. Not sure his name, since he never interacted with us besides making snarky comments. When the guys table ordered table bread , he only got it for them not both tables. Fine, maybe there was a miscommunication. When we politely asked for bread for our table he stated “well its gonna take 5-10 minutes”. When it got to our table he slammed it down and said “here”. Again, the whole time he was treating the girls table like that he was giving free drinks and just chatting it up with the guys table, it was incredibly bizarre. We sat with drinks empty basically the whole night, anytime we would ask for water refills he wouldn’t get them. Other servers were filling our water and interacting with us more than him. One instance where we were all sitting with no alcoholic bev or water he looked at the girls table then proceeded to go to the guys, who had at least half full drinks, to ask if they wanted another round. We did not get asked about another round until about 5-10 minutes later. There was a lot more that when into it, but I know my review is already long. I am not sure why we were treated that way, it felt like because we were younger and girls for the most part. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot by not showing up together, not sure. Whatever the reason was no excuse for how we were treated that evening. I will be very adamant about sharing my story and telling others about my experience. The food and drinks were good but did not make up...

We arrived at on August 19th at 5:30 for a 6pm reservation the general manager helped us with. We waited 1:42 hours for our food to come out. My boyfriend spoke with the manager Nick and he blamed us stating our party didnt arrived on time. When he learned our party arrived before 6, he asked my boyfriend "What do you want me to do. Our food came out for a party of 8. Four steaks were ordered medium well, they were all rare and gritty, and the Mac and cheese had so much salt it could not be eaten. The steaks were taken back a retuned the same way.We asked for Nick to come to our table, he did not come. The general manager came from the kitchen stating our food was delayed because we were not on time. After we let her know we were here, she admitted she's the one that helped with our reservation. She then said our food wasn't ordered until 7 pm. When she realized our sweet waitress had taken our orders at 6:15, she said there staff could not accommodate a party of 8 with reservations. After continuing to blame us before we stopped her, she finally apologized. And then we were given our bill charged with the food that was incorrect. We watched customers be served and checked out. We chose this restaurant under the impression it would be a nice place to take our friend for his 40th birthday dinner. The manager Nick did not care. We end up paying over $600 on food we could not eat. Nick should not be rude and blame the customers. I'm sure the camera will show our arrival and the food coming out. If there was an issue with staff and the kitchen l, honesty would have been great and a simple apology. We could have had dinner somewhere else and not be hungry as we had another evening reservation for our friend's birthday party after. What a horrible experience, horrible customer service and no ownership. I emailed the restaurant to contact me as it says on the website...no response. I left a message on BBB, no response. I called to speak with someone about the experience, no response. Things happen that are out of our control. Blaming the customer, ignoring the customer, food that is not how we ordered that has to be sent back and returned the same way and still charged for.... horrible. Nick's attitude blaming the customers and refusing to speak to...
