SPARK ... A recent trip to see my friends Vertical Horizon at the beautiful Scissortail Park in downtown OKC, brought me a chance to finally try SPARK. A popular burger chain there in OKC.
The stage for the concert was about a 100 yards away from one of their locations. So from all the hype I've heard about the place, I was finally getting a taste.
You enter the building to place your order, they'll text your phone when it's ready.
The menu was a bit small, had six options for burgers and of course you could build your own. I went simple with a double meat cheeseburger and toppings and opted for their "pink" fries.
The order came out fairly quick. Beautiful burger at first appearance and the fries are definitely pink. The pink sauce is a type of garlic aioli, and actually paired well with the fries.
The burger meat tasted like fresh patties, not frozen. My only complaint, all the toppings aside from the lettuce had slid to the back half of the burger. The first few bites were only meat, cheese, and lettuce. The burger is wrapped in paper, so it was hard to notice the toppings missing until halfway through the burger. The potato roll was a nice change for a burger. Again, the punk fries turned out to be the real highlight.
Not sure I'll be rushing to try SPARK again, but if it's all I've got at the moment it'll do.

Great burger, super soft and tasty bun, patty was perfect, super juicy. The fries are crinkle cut, cooked to perfection, like Braum's at their best. I got the pink fries, and they had a mixed review from everyone at the table. Everyone agreed that it was a tasty mayonnaise-based garlicky aioli-type sauce, but one person thought there was way too much on the fries, and others did not like the color. One person said that the coloring made them think of those colored ketchups that came out a long time ago, like the green ketchup, just kind of a fun, nostalgic sauce. I really liked the sauce, but the color did linger on my fingers for a while after the meal. I also had the special shake, a pistachio caramel number that was tremendous.
Highly recommend the ice cream, the burgers are great, very cool location. There were like a million people working there when I came in, so the food was quick and there were employees milling around busing tables, which is always an unexpected delight at a fast food restaurant. Looking forward...
Read moreDrove 20 minutes to this location to try a burger place I have not had yet. I was disappointed that I had to pay to park on the street, because they don't have a parking lot. The young man at the register didn't smile or say hello as I approached him. The dining room was clean and and the condiment section was well stocked. They do not have restrooms from what i could see. I ordered the spark burger meal it has American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and spark sauce on a Martin's famous potato bun. With Crinkle cut fries and Sunkist cherry limeade. The burger was hot and the toppings and bun were fresh/ taste fine. The hamburger patty was 5/10 not favorable or memorable just okay. The fries were the same, just okay. The fries were not seasoned at all and very forgettable. The drink was the best part of the meal, if that tells you anything. I don't recommend anyone eat here, and I regret...
