The only reason that I gave this place 4 stars due to a lack of English speaking staff..(next time I will cut on my google translator..if I'm alone shopping), especially behind and in the Meat/butcher section of this store. But now, PLEASE add an additional (halfâ). Why, because this meat Market in back of grocery store exceeds Publix Meat Dept.(and I adore.Mr. Larry at publix), in Quality and quantity, in its Beef goods and pork goods and sold in bulk and butchers(multiple) will prep and cut on site; without any drama. The poultry section could be better, but they do sell whole duck(pre-packaged), I love to roast this myself. SEABRA also has very nice Seafood dept/section next to the meat dept..so so convenient. Seabra also has a wonderful smelling deli/luncheon place inside it's stores, with a lot of portuguese (brazilian)/ carribean foods I saw-I was there too early in the morning and they were just opening and putting out multiple items cooked fresh on site. Seabra has a bakery on board, with fresh cakes ,pies, and breads. Now back to Meat Dept.; beef ribeyes are sold whole and cut as well as this wonderful Beef Brisket, to your liking.
A $80 whole side of ribeye could yield approximately: 8 to ten, one inch thick ribeyes. I feel. A great deal..I purchased 11 plus pounds, of two combined racks, of beef short ribs and butcher cut it for me.
It's cost 68.00 and change, but went returned home ; I used 6 freezer bags placing minimum 9 plus big pieces, of cut short ribs in each bag and one of the bags contained 12 pieces of cut thick short ribs (this is for a special guest only đđ.) I am showing you above how one bag looked.
I braised and roasted the short ribs, in my dutch oven pot, after searing meat first. I made my homemade Beef and mushroom au jus sauces.(FAMILY SECRET..SORRY), but this was Fork tender my friends..if you go to publix and purchase beef short ribs (4 large pieces) they are sold at $21 to $25 bucks. So now, 8 bones, at publix market is: $50 bucks. I purchased: 11 plus pounds, for $68 at SEABRA. NOW YOU DO THE MATH AND MEAT QUALITY IS EQUAL TO IF NOT BETTER THAN PUBLIX.. You are my go too meat Market Seabra then Publix is second..I will shop at publix but after I come to Seabra...
Read moreThis Portuguese supermarket has all the Portuguese, Brazilian, and Spanish imports and foods that the average household would need, in addition to average American kitchen or household products and foods. Everything is good quality. We like the reasonably priced buffet, including the salad bar, with a good selection of tasty, ready to eat meals including various types of cooked fish and meats. You can take the food upstairs to a cafe area to eat, where they also have a coffee bar (or tea) with Portuguese pastries, cakes, etc. It has never been crowded and it is a good place to relax over some tea and bread or enjoy a healthy or reasonably healthy prepared meal.
The staff, including management, is friendly and helpful. Management and some of the counter people speak English, but not all, Portuguese and Spanish predominate.
I definitely recommend this place for the buffet, lunch or dinner, and wide selection of standard and...
Read moreI overheard a security guard at our Brazilian temporary voting office in Orlando giving directions to another Brazilian woman to what he called "the most complete Brazilian grocery store in Orlando".
On our way out I called Seabra to see if they have a type of "cheetos" like from Brazil (I've been searching for months now and even online from MA they were out). She said they got them. Got there, got around 10 bags. They also have famous Brazilian meat cuts, farofas, salty yellow corns, polenta, guarana antartica soda, all our most famous chocolate brands and our traditional Brazilian "french" bread.
Their prices were cheaper than buying these items in Brazil. I was just pleasantly surprise to find such great product selection. I am...
