We have consistently used Black Tie Ski Rentals for our family ski vacations over the last 12 years, at ski resorts throughout Utah and California. After years of trudging to and from the local ski rental store on arrival day and the day before leaving, standing in lines waiting to be serviced, and then having no real interface for difficulties that arise during use besides trudging back off the mountain to the rental location, we were in love with Black Tie from the beginning.

Black Tie makes the ski rental process as easy as it could possibly be. The equipment is top notch and current year models, the delivery process is friendly and professional - no complaints at all if you don't end up liking the ski, ski length, boots or poles they bring, they just go right back out to the truck and seem genuinely concerned with you having the best equipment experience. Pick up is a breeze - this last trip we came in off the mountain and they were waiting on us at the base and had everything picked up and processed in less than 5 minutes.

Another great advantage -- let's say you are skiing and the boot is just not fitting right once you are on the mountain -- no worries, they'll meet you ON THE MOUNTAIN and bring you more to try. Skiing to recklessly and fall while cracking your helmet and breaking a binding? No problem, they'll meet you ON THE MOUNTAIN and bring you replacements.

I recently had the opportunity to utilizes BTSR in Park City Utah. It’s not the first time I’ve used the services and it will not be the last. Called ahead a week knowing my travel from the Midwest and desiring to not lug around equipment I was pleased that my gear was set up waiting for me to try on when I walked into the shop.

The team asked questions about my ability and experience… nailed it with the choice of boots and skis. I was placed into the PEAK 98 skis by Bode Miller. At 98mm under foot- they were plenty wide to handle the ample snow in park city/ canyons. They provided great response on turns, charged through the mid and late day scruff/ crud and were short / long enough at 178cm to handle bumps. The second day I felt my legs and balance returned and I charged. The skis responded and delivered a stable, fun ride with plenty of edge for carving. The surprise was with the transition between fresh snow and hard pack. No issues.

Then, and the most impressive feature, they go to your place (hotel, condo, etc) with the equipment you ordered and they make all necessary adjustments there. No lines, no stress! The staff members are very friendly and very knowledgeable (ask not only for tips about where and when to go, but also for where to purchase lift tickets with discount!!)

In case you need any adjustment, you can ask for assistance (at any time) to their locations at the base of the mountains (they have stores at almost all mountains).

The return is also very easy! Just leave your skis outside your condo and they come to get it!
