I’ve been trying to have Park City Lock & Key re-program my Mazda key fobs with no success, and frankly it has been a very negative experience. The first time I inquired, they told me they would do it and told me to call back and make an appointment. When I called back they told me they would not re-program the fobs unless I get them directly from the dealership, even though I had certified OEM fobs that I had gotten from a certified seller online. So I bring the new OEM keys into the shop (along with the certification), and I am then told that they don’t like re-programming fobs in the afternoon (the only time I can be there due to my job) because they “don’t like opening that can of worms at the end of the day”. When I told him I could take my business elsewhere if they didn’t want to do it, he grumpily made my appointment for the afternoon, while making it very clear by his face and tone of voice that it was an inconvenience. I left feeling like a burden, not a paying customer. The level of customer service I have received there is beyond poor, and I will happily take my money somewhere else for this and any other lock & key needs I have...
Read moreWe've had Park City Lock & Key out to our house a couple of times to install new digital locks and to rekey some doors. They were always on time and friendly, and most recently the technician did a great job adhering to social distancing/mask wearing recommendations from the CDC. But what prompted this excellent review was a recent RV lockout. The key to one of our storage compartments broke off in the lock while trying to open it. We have Good Sam roadside assistance and it is supposed to cover lockouts. We called Good Sam roadside early in the morning and we got texts all day that a locksmith was on the way. By late afternoon I called again and was told that it would be $300-400 for them to come to the RV, and still no timeline. Frustrated with Good Sam and their contractors, I told them I would take care of the issue myself. I called Park City Lock & Key and they said to drive over and they'd take a look. A few minutes after arriving, Park City Lock & Key had fished out the broken part of the key, and used the broken parts to make new keys. The repair only cost me $10 plus the...
Read moreI just had keys copied here but they were the nicest and gave me a great price without even having to ask. Overall super friendly and professional service! Give these guys any business you can!
EDIT: I really hate to do this but it was such an inconvenience I had to edit this. While the guys here WERE very nice and friendly the relatively expensive key I got made here DID NOT WORK.... I got an extra set of keys made and mailed them to my friend so he could stay at my apartment for a few nights... He had to sit in his car from 2AM to 4AM until my other friend (who I had to wake up in the middle of the night) could bring...
