They did raise prices, by $3-5 per meal. Nothing under $17 for breakfast and nothing under $21 for lunch. They also stopped subs or now charge for them (i.e. $2. more for fry sub, no salad sub). Now they changed the menu and I am sad for them and me. When I first started getting the halibut tacos (which are good) they were $13, then they just keep going up. They are now $22. I do understand inflation and food costs increasing, but... They removed some of their best options: Potato breakfast sandwich (which probably sold less as they raised price significantly). Also, their steak tacos were amazing. Gone since the summer. . They removed most steak from their menu and replaced with pork. Last time I had a latte didn't finish it and it was $7.5 as it was not good. Long waits/crowded/just ok service but this is not their fault. it's small, popular and sometimes understaffed. I have had to ask for water, check, to order etc. Closed early and the guy was cleaning with all the chairs on the tables already when I went in 1x to pick up to go. I do like the to go area and some good selections there but hit and miss. Their Sourdough bread from hawk and sparrow is is amazing, but they have mostly gone to Ciabatta instead. You can no longer reach a person to find out specials (which is a main reason to go or order to go). It goes to a service call center and they know nothing and put you on mega hold.
Frankly, I used to go 1-2x a week. Now I go maybe 1x a month. they are plenty busy so maybe they don't care, but on off season or off days when locals top going they will.
*Previous review of mine from 2 years ago below: It was 5 stars. *
One of the few places in Park city these days where you can order food under $18 a plate and still have a high quality, tasteful meal. They offer something for everyone. It's one of the only places I eat breakfast out anymore. They also have grab and go meals which is helpful. I like the patio. My faves are the potato breakfast sandwich and their specials. They also make great lattes. Service has definitely improved in the past few months. Please don't raise your prices, or reduce your...
Read moreBest food we have had in Park City ever! Best top food places we have been to when you are talking healthy, “farm to table” like food spot. We are from Vegas and we come to park city each year. This place has been open and on our list of places to go the past couple of years and I am happy we finally made it. We will be back in March for my 41st birthday and the celebration dinner will be there. My husband and I ordered the tacos. He had the halibut and I had the steak. We shared a taco each but each order came with 3 hearty, huge tacos that you could easily share with another person. We just got done skiing for the day and 2 tacos felt so good to eat, but definitely super filling. Happy to be taking 2 tacos home each for leftovers. We grabbed 2 feta, cucumbers salads from the grab and go and ate those as appetizers and love how light and fresh they taste. My 11 year old ordered a cheese quesadilla and some Parmesan fries. The fries were amazing and the house made tortilla chips were a great. We took some sauces to go that gave the items a kick and we are looking forward to coming back for breakfast later this week. It was very reasonable for price and huge amounts of food to get us plenty of leftovers. We are really looking forward to coming back. The place is cute and small and the person at the front taking orders and running it as a small bistro is on point. She was fast, thorough and we felt very well taken care of with about 14 people inside. The only thing needed to make this a 5+ is beer on tap, but we were just as happy drinking our beers we purchased there.
Came back in March, still the best fish tacos to date!!! We have had great consistency when eating here each time and hands down recommend this...
Read moreAs a family we always do take out from here when in Park City, which is very frequent. This time I got a couple of orders of the salmon family meal and the chicken and buttermilk biscuits and picked up the french onion dip to serve 8 people. When I tell you the food was phenomenal - it is no joke. We had the meal last week and we are all back home and everyone is still talking about the meal. The chicken and buttermilk biscuits were unbelievable. We couldn't eat them right away and still the biscuits were light and flaky and the chicken so flavorful when we did. The salmon was prepared perfectly and was moist and seasoned perfectly. It was accompanied by an amazing light cucumber salad and crispy green beans and jambalaya. We picked up the order and reheated everything and it was delicious. So much food that it lasted for us for two days. And the french onion dip . . . wow - that was crazy good. We were scraping the container clean. I can't say enough good things about this meal. I had a little trouble reaching Saltbox to place the order (it's very busy) but they were very responsive after a few tries and they were very accommodating. We almost couldn't get the chicken and biscuits which I thought would be ok to skip. I had no idea it would be the taste sensation that it was for us! Can't wait to get more family meals, and more off their catering menu. Thank you Saltbox for making my guests' meal memorable. I got all the credit for it (even though...
