Horrible customer service. I called and made an appointment for my birthday because I heard they are great. When I made the appointment they made me give them my card information which I thought was strange but they said they do it for everyone. The day before my appointment I tried to call in the morning to cancel because my car broke down so unfortunately I had to spend my birthday money to fix my car but when I called there was no answer. I figured they weren’t open yet. So I was at work and I got so busy and I remembered that I still had to call to cancel my appointment for the next day at 4pm. I called to cancel at 445 in the afternoon the day before my 4 pm appointment. I told them how sorry I was that I couldn’t make the 4pm appointment the next day because of my car but I would reschedule soon. They said no problem. A few minutes later my phone dinged with my bank account saying that the salon charged me $250 well of course I had no idea what was going on so I called and they said that because I didn’t cancel 24 hours in advance or more that they charged me 1/2 the cost of my service for cancellation. I flipped out like are you kidding me? I called 45 minutes later than the cutoff and I told them my situation about my car needing to get fixed but they said that’s the policy it’s right online when you book. I said I called to schedule I never went online so I had no idea about your policy. They said they texted me warning me about canceling under 24 hours but they confirmed they had wrong number for me so I never got the text. I called and talked to Joan and she said she would give me my money back but of course I never got it back and the 20 times I called to ask when I would get it back she was never there to get on phone with me. Absolutely horrible to do that to people. If I knew that’s the policy I would have definitely not gone there because emergencies happen to people all the time so for them to take $250 from someone without doing anything for it is despicable. I can understand a cancel fee of $50-$75 for the hair dressers time but $250 they should be ashamed of themselves. Be warned that...
Read moreMy usual stylist, Ashley, is really great. I enjoy coming here to get a haircut. Nice aesthetic setting, lovely staff. I’ve followed Ashley from a previous salon and will happily continue to see her for future cuts.
Today was my first time coming for just a bang trim. Ashley wasn’t available so I picked whomever was available because all stylists here seem to do a great job with their clients. The bang trim was fine I suppose, I’m just surprised that it was so brief and bare minimum. It was done in about two minutes, for a $20 service plus tip lol. I was going to trim them myself but I wanted a little more shaping to my curtain bangs which is why I decided to book with a stylist, however when I asked for a little more shaping/blending with the longer parts of the bang, I was told that that would require booking a full haircut, and isn’t included in the bang trim. She only cut the shortest part of my bangs, and didn’t cut the longer parts even though a curtain bang has like a slanted cascade on both sides of the face. I didn’t want a full hair cut, I just wanted to freshen up and shape up my curtain bangs, so I booked a bang trim thinking that’s what I was going to get. It was my first time having just a bang trim, so maybe I misunderstood what that means and I need to lower my expectations for the service. I just thought that if my bangs are curtain bangs, the whole bang style would be addressed and maintained, not just briefly trimming the shortest part.
I’ll probably do my bang trims at home from now on since I like them shaped up more often and don’t want to have to book and pay for a full haircut when I only want to trim and shape up my bangs, but I will happily continue to book for haircuts in the future when I need the...
Read moreAfter going to this salon for three years, I have noticed their quality of work and professionalism go down significantly. Yesterday, I abruptly got a text message that I was no longer able to make appointments with them. Confused, I asked why and the owner Joanne did not give any information other than that they noticed I was unhappy the last few times I had come in.
I’m not sure if they were referring to my long time stylist - Kate - who I used to have very good experiences with in 2022-2023 for haircut, balayage and gloss. More recently, her work became sloppier and prone to mistakes (uneven haircut, incorrect color placement, rushing during visits) and I have asked for corrections very politely after I saw results that were not in line with what we discussed. She always seemed more than happy to fix these issues, so there was no indicator there was an issue.
More recently I got a gloss with a male associate who kept spilling gloss and water on my clothes. When I asked him to be more careful he had an attitude, didn’t apologize, and kept doing the same thing. The gloss should’ve taken 20 minutes and lasted over 1.5 hours.
If I’m paying for a service, I’m entitled to give feedback on my experience. Their decision to send me a text message to end business after three years was laughably unprofessional. The reasonable thing would’ve been for the manager to call and have a discussion around what happened in real time. It’s a shame they are unable to navigate even minor conflict when clients want to give constructive feedback after paying hundreds of dollars for their...
