Food is 5 stars but I deducted a star for the attitude of the primary person you interact with while there. The interaction with the order taker who sat up front in an office chair almost ruined our experience but the food itself was fantastic and fresh. The young man sitting up front is very lacking in communication skills and dealing with the public. He was playing or looking on his phone the entire time and didn't acknowledge us, didn't look up at us until we finally told him we would like to order, and then looked visibly annoyed or inpatient while we placed our order and was very short with us when asking what breads we wanted, did we want a combo, etc. And when it came time to pay he just held up a machine in our face and didn't tell us to swipe, tap, or insert (some places are not set up to do all 3 options so we had no idea which method to use here). It felt like because we were not local and didn't know exactly how to phrase our order, he couldn't stand us being there and didn't want to be bothered. Maybe he on the spectrum and I'm the A-hole?? He just seemed very unhappy to be there, having his phone time interrupted while taking orders.
The paper menus are very busy, it's a run-on list of their items with no bullet points or headers. It could use some formatting to make things go even quicker for walk-in customers who are unfamiliar with the options. That's not a complaint, just an...
Read moreWe heard this was a must stop on social media, so we made a trip just to check it out, especially since my husband loves pretzels and they have different sized options.
We waited about a half hour total for the food. They have signs stating pretzels take longer to make, so that probably counts for about half the time we waited.
We didn't have very great service when placing our order, and based off that we were worried that it wasn't going to live up to the hype.
We were so glad that wasn't the case. The rest of the staff were very friendly. They seemed to stay very busy, and even though most appeared tired, they still smiled and laughed with each other. So perhaps the individual was having a rough day.
All of our worries went away when we took a bite into our sandwich. Genuinely good deli sandwiches as someone who used to work for a sandwich shop years ago.
We got a giant pretzel (fits in a 14-inch box) with cheese and a regular roast beef. I was hoping to try the pot roast, but I had heard they ran out when the customer in front of me tried to order it. Highly recommend giving them a try, and we will...
Read moreFound this deli while on vacation in TN through a web search for sandwiches. We had put in an order for several different sandwiches and pretzels to take on our 11 1/2 hour road trip back home to PA yesterday. We ordered them cold and had them special packed to go into our cooler for our trip. We had them leave off a couple of things like tomato's, mayo, dressings so sandwiches would not get soggy in the cooler. WOW!!!! These sandwiches and pretzels were absolutely delicious!!!! The freshly made bread and pretzels were amazing!!. Best we have ever had. I can't imagine how much more delicious they would have been hot. We did get to try some of the pretzels hot when we got home. Soooooo good!!! Everything in the order was correct and labeled, all condiments we needed were there too. Absolutely wonderful family to deal with as well. We will definitely be going back there on our next trip to TN for lunch so we can try those sandwiches hot, but also for getting sandwiches again for our trip back home. Highly recommend this place! You will not be...
