Saturday March 11th 2023 it was my daughters 15 birthday. There was a large group of kids that I was responsible for and they were very well behaved & respectful. Due to them being early teens I let them have some space and sat a few rows up from them. I was still close enough to hear everything that was going on. Halfway into Ant man the staff came in and I saw them talking to the teens. I got up and asked was there a problem and they said the teens were being disruptive and had to leave. Apparently one customer sitting in the theater had an issue and told the staff the kids were being disruptive and without proper investigation the manager Garrett decided to put them out. Which was totally unfair. I honestly believe they saw a group of black kids in a movie theater and thought they were not with an adult. So before any proper warning or even questioning to see if an adult was present they just decided to put them out and didn’t plan on giving them their money back either until I spoke up. So they had to refund me $108 for all the kids I paid for the the other kids as well who paid on their own. Not only was I furious I was also embarrassed and so were they and I feel like the staff needs to be re-educated on customer service because clearly they were racial profiled. My family and I have been coming here for years. Mainly bc my mother is disabled and the seats are comfortable. But you guys have definitely lost loyal customers who loved this facility as well as losing money because the way we were treated was definitely wrong & I’m sure not how your policy works. How can you put someone out of a full movie theater based on one persons complaint before properly investigating the situation or even giving a warning. I will be calling corporate! Garrett & the black woman that was with him did not handle the situation fairly and the company lost money that night due to a situation that could have been solved easily. I am disgusted and will be writing a formal complaint against...
Read morePooler Cinemas is one of the best movie theaters in the area. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by friendly staff who are eager to help you find your way to your movie of choice. The theater itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with plenty of room between seats and state-of-the-art sound and picture quality.
The selection of movies is fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from, including the latest blockbuster hits as well as independent and foreign films. The theaters are always showing the latest releases, so you can be sure you won't miss out on anything.
One of the things I appreciate about Pooler Cinemas is their commitment to creating a great movie-going experience. They offer a range of concessions, from the classic popcorn and soda to hot dogs and nachos. And if you're looking for something a little different, they even offer beer and wine.
But what really sets Pooler Cinemas apart is their dedication to their customers. They go above and beyond to ensure that everyone has a great time, whether it's by providing special accommodations for those with disabilities or by offering special events and promotions. They truly care about their customers and it shows.
Overall, I highly recommend Pooler Cinemas to anyone looking for a great movie experience. With excellent selection, top-notch facilities, and a commitment to customer service, it's no wonder they are one of the best theaters...
Read moreI went to Georgia Theatre Company tonight and I can honestly say it was one of the worst, if not the worst, experiences I’ve ever had at a business.
To start, the place is severely understaffed. There was one poor employee left to handle everything—selling tickets, making concessions, and serving a line of 30 to 40 people. The line barely moved, and it was clear the staff wasn’t to blame—it was a total failure of management.
The cleanliness (or lack thereof) was disgusting. Trash cans were overflowing before we even went into our movie, and nothing had been touched by the time we came out hours later. Floors were sticky, counters were covered in spills, and there was food, trash, and grime in every direction you looked. It honestly felt more like a neglected gas station bathroom than a place people are paying good money to enjoy a movie.
To top it all off, the AC in our theater was either broken or never turned on. Sitting through a movie in a packed room with zero airflow during a Savannah summer night felt like torture. It was as hot inside the theater as it was outside—and that’s saying a lot.
Between the filth, the chaos, and the swamp-like conditions in the actual theater, I can confidently say this was a total waste of money. This place is in serious need of new management, more staff, and a deep clean. Avoid this theater at all costs until they decide to start...
